Workshop news from Wednesday
Good morning … this is catch up from yesterday morning Wednesday the 1rst. I handwrote it while I was in with Group 1 …Good morning it’s me again. We’re going to write a little by hand. We’re with group 1, but so far they are working on their own. It was a little scary for me because there is no work for me to check. Sitting here with my iPod wondering how elese to look busy enough so I don’t bore myself or get interrupted.
It’s not that I don’t appreciate clients. Its just that they should be working on their own thing idenpendently. The ones I talk to at this point are the ones that come in with bad moods from home. I don’t like doint that kind of thing, but I know it calms them for when their staff returns and she needs to do something. My 2 biggest problem clients are just in now. We’ll see if calm waters prevail.
Oh oh … spoke to soon. One started to started to start with his sister problems.
They fight before they get in and then we need to deal with crabby clients. Another client – a third came in complaining she had to wake up early that means she probably stayed up late, slept in, didn’t get breakfast before the driver picked her up and is going to make lives miserable in her room. Yup, yup that’s how it goes. People here like to share bad moods. But it’s not real bad. I just had to tell one of the clients to put away the pop he took out of his lunch box. I know he’s not supposed to do that.
I was hit at the door with little surprises. Sr. thought it was nice that I came in early, which meant I was just on time. Then she had me fix her computer because she couldn’t get the printer to work, and then one of the staff had to be taught how to use duplex on the copy machine … all small tiny things, but I find anything that takes me away from thinking free thoughts is too much. Ahh that was nice … a client asked me what I did last night, which let me talk about new car, but the problem client used my talking to back into the relationship issues he’s having with his problematic sister. I got to say about 3 sentences though. The concerned client asked about what I did with my old car.
I should say for the record that Rich didn’t blow up about the car. He said when I first called from the dealership that he was frustrated with me, but, I’m used to him being frustrated with me. He said that he wasn’t happy. But, I didn’t call him until everything was done and we were sitting out in the car as they were changing my plates.
I’m not sure all of what happened yesterday or why. I might start here and continue when I get back to the office. I wasn’t really thinking of buying a car. Matter of fact, I was actually working on CARF. But, I was interrupted by a sales lady calling from the Honda City dealership where I bought my car. It’s a dealership that’s new and half way between work and home. I was going to say goodbye to her, but she mentioned a special 3% loan. Whoops lost there. Margarita came in and we were talking about my new car and her new motorcycle.
It was a nice talk. She was doing her little workshop job in the meantime and then the clients would listen in and join in. They like staff to staff conversations because they figure they are hearing some of “the good stuff.” I got some teasing … I told her I did the decision by myself and didn’t ask Rich. She said how would he know? I said, Yah, yah … that was her way of saying he still lives with you, right?
Margarita is the only one here that knows about us. She has kept the secret for 9 years. I really appreciate talkin to someone who knows the both of us and she gets to hear from me when Rich is coming in. He brings her the workshop work. She’s officially the one in charge there when Rich isn’t there.
Hmm, not much time now. It’s time for the sisters to return.
