Just a little catch-up ... we're doing fine

Good morning. This is me ... and we're typing from home. No the computer isn't fixed, but Rich reminded me that we had a laptop at our desk. Now that I know it will work, we'll tell Sister this morning that we'll be using it here until ours gets fixed. She shouldn't mind, but she'll make me sign something that says I will bring it back. Sort of like a library card. I can't fault her on that ... she's just protecting the agencies resources.

The nicest part? AHA! Hoped you would ask. The nicest part is that it seems to work with our wireless connection. Rich thought that that part wasn't working, because he couldn't get his to work, but now that I know it can be done ... I'll check out his connection too. I think it is because there are 3 b's that could be perceived as 6's. I missed two the first time I entered the long number, then I picked up one the second time, and didn't pick up the third until the third time. I'm so very happy it's working, because there are not extra outlets over by the computer ... and it's going to be a hassle to plug or unplug anything, because there's such a crowd of cords over there. Plus it's new technology in the house and one thinks hey if I'm paying for it I'm glad that it works!

Rich is now out of the shower. It's almost 6 am. He has to go in to work early to meet his boss, and then he's going to be fishing again this weekend. He's going to meet up with his partner at 10:30 am I think. He will be gone until Sunday night. I haven't asked yet how far this trip will be, but he is on his last official trip of the year. This weekend is to decide who is fisherman of the year and who is going to win the classic which will be decided this weekend. Two years ago he won the overall fishy man reward and last year he won the classic. I'm not sure this weekend how close he'll come or the distance he needs to travel, but he's in second place. Be nice if he could catch up to the other guy. I'll ask him before he leaves if it's possible to catch the other guy. Hope so! Sure make our boy happy!

AHA! We're back ... we've been away for 36 minutes. We did ask fishyman about catching the other guy and he says that he is 4 points away which is in the doable range. He's just finishing up now a note to his boss and then he's going down to BC for a bit, and then he's going to be leaving. We smooched him up real good. We don't want to break his concentration now though so we gave him a few moments.

Ahh ... we're all showered, dressed and packed up to go ... just got to remember our gizmos. I'm wearing the blue jean skirt today and a white top that I've never worn this skinny. It's really cool when our stuff hangs so that it's not gathering around the hips and other big thing down there. The really nice part of that is that its now cool enough to wear a jacket in the morning and we tried on our light workout jacket and it now fits REALLY good. I can zipper it for the first time and there is room to spare WOOHOO!!! I went into the kitchen for a moment and Rich noticed it too. He asked where did I get that jacket? Hehehe works for me! I think that this winter we'll be using the bottoms to this over our shorts so we can dress at work and be able to be in the winter weather WITH shorts on underneath. That's going to be important. We always get fixed on these little details. They can make or break us.

Last night we had a good evening with Rich. We got home about a half hour before him. And, then we went to his bank and then we went to the fishy store AND I walked without a wheel chair or electric chair. I had to sit down once, but for the record we were up on our feet for slightly over a half an hour. This is really an extremely big deal for us.

Fishyman had a good time at the store ... it's a big big sportsplace ... I forget the name ... but, there were rows and rows of scented worms like he was looking for ... Oh man if you ever want to see happy guys ... you gotta check this place out. Maybe Outdoor World? not sure ... I think it has something to do with Bass Pro. But, we don't want to belabor that point. Thing is ... he was in his heyday.

Hehehe just looked around us and I discovered that Chief is 2 inches to my right just paying attention to our fingers and Missy is 5 feet away on the other couch watching us as well. I wonder what they are thinking. They sure do seem to be paying attention to us. That's kind of cool to have that much kitty support. It makes me feel important. I did feed them and all that so we're good to go. Ahh, Chief just layed down up against me to the left. I think he's a happy kitty.

After we went to the fishystore, we went out to eat. We tried a new place that was like flattop, but it had more of a chinese menu. It was a place where you put all your meat and vegetable ingredients in a bowl and then they fry it up on a huge circular grill. It was pretty cool. I was a little squeemish though, because I was not sure of what I thought of seeing my meat raw. I had picked steak and shrimp and had a squeemish feeling that it wouldn't be cooked all the way and I'd be eating raw food. It turned out ok, but I had had a little to eat before we went to keep us stable and then that turned out to be too much on our tummy. So, we didn't eat too much before putting it aside.

That's pretty much it of the evening. As to the day ... we had a staffing that turned out pretty good ... I think we talked about that earlier though. It's about time to get ourselves posted and on to the next part. Today is a Dr. Marvin day ... We'll see how all that goes. I don't remember where we left off, but there will be something of importance that happens I'm sure. It's a highlight of our week to be with him, regardless of what happens during the session. Ok, then we're off ... be taking care!
