Pretty sure this is Saturday April 28, 2007
Good morning. This is me again. With a little change - I’m pretty much metered in. So, for a while now until we adjust and maybe then longer, we are on the clock. See the cord around neck? That holds in place these …
This means my blood pressure is a wonderful 98/57 my heart rate is 67 and blood glucose is 164 – that’s ok, cuz I ate a banana about 45 minutes ago. So, we’re all checked in …
I haven’t got a registered number on the pedometer, but I’ve only gone as far as the coffee pot … I guess that doesn’t count. AND, we started the chrono timer … so so far in doing this last page or so, we’ve used up12 and a ½ minutes. Meter reading counts! Hehehe .
So, what’s the big plan? Big plan is that I have to register some numbers! Well the first few numbers are ok. Maybe I’m going to have to follow Flylady’s advice and get in the shower and dressed right away so I can get shoes on and start the treadmill.
Maybe what should happen is that Sweetie Pie and us can go to a park and warm up before he has to get going? Not sure. That might take more time than he’s got and I think he needs to get in some sleep. I didn’t really want to wake him today, but I might around 7 am, so he has time to do start-up things before 8:30 … I’m not sure if that’s game time or time to be leaving here. We’ll have to see. Maybe then I should get in my shower? And then, I’d like to see someone make a chart for us, K?
It be a good thing to make a 24 hour register for anything we could be going through. Hmm, think of that? Once an hour that timer rings … it would be a good idea to take a few measurements then, K? Just a thought.
Ok for the record showered, dressed, and did 3:30 on the treadmill for blood pressure 115.
Ok, we’re back again … the time is now about 1 pm. Saturday is flying past. About an hour ago, we got back from Ame’s soccer game. It was her 2nd game, but our first of the season. We will go to as many as possible. We think this is a very important thing for Grandma’s to do. I was very proud of both Ame and Maury. Ame is stronger and more motivated now than she has been before. She likes the game, seems to get along with her peers, and is happy with her father. She did a good job of being goalie because several times she stopped the ball by covering it … Hehehe I think she likes doing that a lot and we have pictures that prove she was really moving.
She’s the one in the green shirt during this picture.
I think we’re going to post a whole series of pictures in the blog, but I won’t do that here. That will take a little extra time. Suffice it to say, everyone I knew received an email with the pictures in it. WOO HOOO!!!
One more picture I love though … here!
Isn’t that the coolest son picture you ever saw!!! Hehehe
Ok, better do just one more … didn’t want to slight out Elizabeth.
Oh yeah … she’s going to play soccer too! WOO HOOO!!! Ok, one last picture … This is Gramma looking VERY proud of her family!
Ok, ok … I can move on … but, I’m still pretty happy about the family. We’ll see Joe tomorrow too! Sooooo, anyway … I know it’s 2 pm now … I have to admit I’ve been staring into the pictures for quite some time.
Hehehe ok ok … this makes me an official soccer gramma.
I've got a great drill Maury ... it would help both offence and defense. First x is the goalie in the net, give her ten seconds trying to stop balls coming in from all 7-8 people, then have two or three on the side ready to run in as the old goalie gets timed out one at a time (whistle blows), and have the player on the right of the general line run up to stand in the goalie in waiting space, so that everyone revolves in and gets a turn. I think this would be a great drill ... similar to a volleyball drill practicing serving and bumping. Let me know what you think ... it should help them move faster, focus as goalie, and be more driven to kick in balls. :) Always our best,

Love mom
Ok shhhh, we’re going to need moving on here girls??!!
Ok, ok … had an orange out on the balcony. It’s a little chilly in the shade, but I can see the sun was coming. Just needed to take my mind off things for a minute. I’m building up to maybe that we could take a walk with Rich tonight too. He said that we could do something like that tomorrow after we get back from Joe’s, maybe about 2-3, and at the same time, Rich will either go fishing with his friend Bob, or he will go to his mothers (with optional laundry) Hehehe. Silly Rich. Either choice would be fine with me. I need to be doing some school in between times. Like pretty soon now.
I don’t remember why, but I think Rich was going to get back about 8 pm tonight.
Can’t remember what he is doing though. I got the part about there being a game earlier, and helping his son clean out the car … the son just got a new one. His dad paid a little toward the down payment, but the majority of it is the son and the son is making payments. The last car had been a hand me down from his father, so this one is an especially good deal. It’s one of those cars that looks like an old fashioned gangster car. Oh man pretty cool if you ask me. They did real good haggling. I wish I had Rich around when we were buying ours.
Hmm, I wasn’t sure where Rich was at so I left a message on his machine. I really don’t know when he is coming home, but I had thought it was going to be later.
That’s kind of a bummer. I don’t know if he’d be in early enough to try and walk today. I think he’s gotta point me in the right direction and then just let us go.
Hmm, interesting … there would be nothing from keeping me from going to the zoo? I wonder if I could use my back pack. Might not be perfect, but if it could work at all … make it possible to take water, pen and a notebook … along with camera AND refreshed batteries! I think I only have two dollars left, so I couldn’t be left too far astray. Might be a good idea to get popcorn? Well, if anything.
Hmm, it’s open til about 5 and now its 2:30 pm. The timing would be excellent. Not sure how things are going to get managed, but I would have to try and figure that out. Maybe I won’t get any further than the gate. We’ll see.
Etc., Etc. We won’t copy out all the pictures … there are about 14. But, as you can guess, we made it to the zoo. This is a good thing. It’s now much later, about 6:45 pm … Rich is due towards arrival 7:30 pm, which means we’ve been sorta doing not much since we got back from the zoo. We did talk to Deb a little bit, but she had to leave to pick up Amanda and then she had to do lawn mowing, church cleaning, and fixing of computer. I think that will take her the rest of the night. Good Deb. She brought me on her cell phone on the way to her daughter’s. That was sort of unexpected, but kinda nice. I’ve thought of calling Deb on the way back and forth to work and such, but I didn’t really want to set a bad precident. I really believe people drive better with full concentration on driving. I think Deb is lonely though for a good friend, as are we. Just someone to chat with and shoot the donkey.
Unfortunately, I’d rather rush home and talk to Deb than doing my school work. She is very considerate of our time, but we’re trying not to get anything done fast.
Ok, that’s enough of that talk … we’re not up to anything fancy. We’re thinking that we might want to lay down for a few minutes so we’re fresh when hunny bunny comes in. What an idea!?!
