The time comes upon us...

Today, we were shopping our favorite store, Horchow's. These are the new pieces we'll be ordering very soon. They are for our bedroom. The last small part of my inheritance money is coming in. Just $1,500. I spent the rest on the majority of the house, We will finish in our bedroom.

This is a conglomorate picture of how we imagine things will look with one another.

There are some changes. The mirror is like 72-78" so it will go behind the bike and more. It might cover up a bit of the curtain, but the curtain should frame it in. We don't usually look out this window, just use it for light. There is another apartment building immediately outside it. We figure the mirror in general will match the one on the other side in broadening the room. And, it will be particularly useful when walking on the treadmill to watch our movements or keep self company.

There are actually 3 rugs/tapestries of various sizes, but all the same image. The largest will be about 4' tall and about 6' wide. It will go directly over the bed and centered. The next rug is a 3'6" round and will go to the left of the rug over the bed, just opposite the round mirror over the dresser. The older light and 3 candles will be balanced on either lower or upper shelf and everything else will be put away, but the quilted bear. The round clock will go below the the round rug where it will be convenient to watch so my sweety gets out in time heheheh. I believe the candlestickes are literally 22-27" So that will be pretty cool high. There is a few pictures toward the floor on the left of the bed. They will go above the round mirror to make it match heights with the rugs and bring more interest to the space. The last rug is the smallest ... it is only 2' x 3'. It will go over the tall dresser and be the backdrop for the two angel candles. We'll need all the blessings we can get. I want this room to be for lovers.

So that's it ... for better or worse. Unfortunately my sweetie doesn't want us to spend the money, but in these matters we override him. Then he said that it wasn't what he would choose. He said it seemed to dark and gothic. We don't look at it that way in the least. We think it will bring more depth into the room and give the room extra size feeling because of the mirrors going wide and defining the height of the walls with the tall rugs. We haven't figured how the rugs are going to get hung, but I know everything is doable. I like how the design was much more ornate than the geographic styled bed cover and pillows, but there are enough pieces of both to contrast equally. I love how the red and gold in the rugs brings out the red and gold in the bedspread. I really do like the gilded period. It feels to me sorta like a clumsier wealth. Not elegant, but more rennaisance. We're thinking it will give the bedroom in total more strength. We are very happy with the designs and hope above hope it holds out until the check comes in formally. It was put in the mail today. Most of it is back ordered and won't be here maybe until February 12th. SOOOOO, let's wait patiently, right?

My father and his wife died 3 years ago now. This is their legacy finalizing. Peace go with them. Peace go with us.
