*Sigh* So much to do

Good morning. This is me … *sigh* formalities.

We are tearing ourselves away from the new and smoosh of our morning routines. It’s now 5:15 and I’m feeling a sudden need to get down to business. Last night we were off work about 5-5:15 pm. We met pumpkin at our parking lot … He was at the door while we were pulling up. Hehehe he promised to go upstairs so he could cook the dickens out of me. Well, not exactly, but it was SORTA like that. I think I’m onto a good deal here. He had worked all day on some important reports and said he buried himself in his office. Prevailing wage studies are a report where he has to compare the prices of his workshop jobs with other workshops doing similar work. I think he does them for most places he places work. I thought … hmm, that can’t be real fun.  :)

But we turned out having a pretty good day, but not too terribly work credible. I did a few things. I think I wrote of some of them. Ok, just caught up. I had gotten up to about 11:30. For the record, I ended up working on the goals of the middle client. That was a good idea, but I only finished 2 of them. About then I rememembered or was disrupted or something, but we went on to doing the work for the Qnotes. We had finished them at home, but still needed to pull them up, print them, sign and date them, and get them filed properly … all in all about a 45 minute task. Little job. Not too much later, we also remembered that we hadn’t taken care of the Halloween pictures yet. Hmm, there you go … that’s the rest of the day.

We found the pieces easily enough, so then we decided to print all of them to the Word processor, so we could manipulate the size. We made two files. The first file had the larger full sheet pictures, and the second file had quarter size pictures.

We worked with the quarter size first. There were 70 pictures so after we finished manipulating the size – we printed out about 20 pieces of paper. Brandi wasn’t doing much and there was still 15 minutes before she left. I think she was frustrated with me, because she likes to sneak out early, but we got the help of a few of her clients – and then she contributed later, but in so doing took the work away from the client who was doing that job. I tried to give the work back to him, but Brandi wanted to rush through it. Ugh.

One way or another the pictures were put up and they were great. I got to then spend some time with Kathy, Theresa, and a moment with Maria and Stephanie. It’s kind of cool because it gives you the sense that you were at your own private gallery showing. Hhehehe. We pretty much told the entire building. Later we told Rosa, Holly, and Sr. Margaret Mary. Holly had sister’s attention, so we didn’t stay there. Holly had left the room, but as soon as she saw me coming in, she came back to be in that space. Heaven forbid I had a boss nuns ear while in ear shot of Holly, Yeeks.

But … that was that … needed to get going to meet-up with Rich anyway. Between the first set of viewers and the second set of viewers we had sent some copies of the pictures out and we argued ourselves back and forth of whether or not we were going to do the next part. We finally decided to go with it. We printed out one or more copies of the pictures, depending on who was in them. And, then because some of the clients were missing, we found our favorite picture of their staff and printed out enough copies for their group, so that everyone would get a picture. It became kind of my Halloween thing. I checked it with Sr. Margret Mary first … I told her Sr. probably would have reprimanded me because of the waste of paper or cartridge ink.

She said not to worry about it and that it was a nice thing to do. I found a box of envelopes in the back that I have pretty much decided to use too because I don’t want the pictures getting bent. It’s just that I send home so much “yucky” stuff that I wanted to send home something nice for a change. I’m now arguing whether I should put a note on the envelope, but on the other side of that … the intent is pretty obvious … here we are giving you a picture of Halloween. Some people have more pictures, but most have at least two.

I’ll try to finish up that project right away. I have to cancel a doctor appointment today, because it turned out the knee band appointment was last week … I got the two appointments mixed up but since I can’t do the other one, I can’t do the second one. I don’t look forward to making that call, but see it is necessary. As to other things that have to get done … I have the one group at 10:30 that I will have to plan for, but other than that … shouldn’t be bad just got to focus on finishing those goals.

Oh that was another thing. It turned out that the parent didn’t show at the meeting that Candice had scheduled. I think she is going to need going through backing up meeting times with calls. She’s having a real hard time with it, but we decided not to come down on her too hard. She felt bad about the phone call between her and sister as to her being really sick last Friday. We also told her that if she wanted we would take back the Qnotes from my old clients. She said something about having work done on them. I don’t know about that – quality wise, but we asked her if she would like to keep it then. And, she said no … that we could do it. We then gave her a little speech about how important Qnotes and annuals for the State and how essential they both were in getting done. She seemed to acknowledge this, I don’t know how much pressure she can take though. It’s a lot of responsibility and I don’t want to overwhelm her. Just gotta get done is all.

It’s almost time for us to get in the shower. Missy has been warming the outside of my elbow by drooping her chin over it. It feels nice and warm. Both she and Chief have tried to sit in the inner circle with me, but we were too impatient. It’s hard to type and pet kitties and sometimes they gotta give me a break too! Ok, ok no negative kitty names at me. Ok, I’m going … BYE  :(
