Pshwoo Candice Showed!
Hehehe. We just had a funny thing happen. It’s now about 9:45 am and I have been busy on an effort to support staff for the meeting coming up. I talked things over and read what Candice (who DID come in today – God Bless) and then we talked to the DSP for a bit and then we did a couple of extra things like check on how well the individual knows their address, checked on the goals, and wrote up a little summary of the extra points made by the DSP. Candice seemed to appreciate the help – she said thanks!The funny part was that I was sitting down now to write a little and get busy on my other stuff, when the DSP snuck up behind me with her papers in hand. I’d given the extra notes to both her and Candice and stated that any one of the three of us could include this information to back up either Candice or Theresa the DSP. Theresa stated when she snuck up on me, “I just wanted to say you are good! This is terrific and just what I would want to say.” That’s when we giggled. We said thanks and that it was fun to do, because she was so observant and knew all this information. BUT, it is very nice to be appreciated.
I think with the exception of the goals, things are going pretty well. Candice gave me a sheet and I made a copy for myself of information about the goals. She really doesn’t have it tied down yet, but she stated that the CSO person wouldn’t be there because she wasn’t getting paid. I guess this individual’s funding hasn’t gone through – so it was like COOL! A meeting without CSO and a meeting without Sr. Theresa. This is very good, because both Candice and Theresa are prepared now AND it will give them a good opportunity to present, without the nervousness of upper ups. AND, they both know my position with the extra information, so they just got to do the best they can at presenting their own knowledge. I feel very confident with it, and then we’ll just be going on then to preparing for the next client’s on Friday. I don’t know if Candice will have time after the meeting to do it, she’ll need time to decompress, but she will be at the Q meeting tomorrow and we don’t want to put extra pressure on Friday by not having this done.
I think I will make her a deal. I will tell her if she works the last 2-3 hours on preparing for the Friday meeting, I will take over her back-dated Qnotes for the ten clients I gave to her. That would be an extreme relief I would believe and shouldn’t take me more than a week or two. Both of us would feel MUCH BETTER in having them done before the State comes to check on us. I think I could use my copies of Qnotes, because I don’t think she’s done any work on them. She needs to know that annuals are important AND Qnotes are important.
Speaking of … I still have some work to do there.
Hmm, took a few minutes break … Oh oh … ate lunch because it was almost 11:30, but now looking at it it’s only close to 10:30 am. Yeeks. Better set my time clock ready … my lunch is gone and it had only been snack time! Shoot. Ok, ok … take it easy … we can do it.
Well anyway beside that, we got out all the materials for a full packet for both Theresa’ any my clients. I only have two of her ten – the other’s belong to Holly or Candice. But, we included the annual report, the goals and objectives and long goals for both. I told her to read them over later and then we could talk about what may or may not be understandable. I think she has the two worksheets so … just some straightening out work to make sure she’s got it. That’s a relief … So far then I’m good with 3 out of 5 staff. Maria, Kathy, and Theresa are all taken care of. I still have one for Sue, and two for Brandi to finish. We’ll get there.
I don’t think I have anything exceptional to be doing, except those annuals. I’m not sure where I left off … I thought I had done 1 ½ annuals – that would probably mean J is done, but C is in process and L is in waiting. Let’s check to see if anything else was done with J.
Hmm, that’s about right … C’s is in process and there is only annual work, not the other two. Goals and objectives are much easier, just a basic copy of the long goals. But, I think today, we are going to focus on just getting the annual part written and then – we will work on C’s goals first to get Sue taken care of. She’s watching the undone goal better than Brandi. With Brandi we’re going to want more time to talk about what’s going on with her goal.
Ok, then anything else? Shoot, just thought of those Qnotes I worked on over the weekend. I think we’re going to print them out real fast so we can say that task is finished. Ok girls … let’s try that … Go!
Pshwoo that was a task! It’s now 11:18 am and we stopped in the washroom too. Sometimes I build up tasks and then save things like washroom until everything is done. That’s probably normal though. Candice is going to be back here in a minute. So, I think I will take a few moments to help her out with goals.
Otherwise – meeting at 1 pm – 2 pm. So, I have 11:30-1 free and 2-4 free. Rich said he was going to be home this afternoon, so we’ll want to get out of here on time. We’ve got to remind him he should be working on his divorce papers. Hmm, better do that now before Candice is here.
Ok, that call has been made. What next? Oh yeah … Annuals. I could go two ways here. I could work on J’s goals or finish C’s annual. Theoretically it is better to do goals first because then that information could be written right over. So I think J’s goals are next. Hmm, but I wanted to do C’s first.
