Let's call this OUR lunch goal!
Good morning. This is me … we’re getting a real late start … particularly because we will be cutting off to see Maury for lunch. But, you know what?? We had a surprise visitor last night!!Chief Fuzzy Bear came home!!! Yup yup … we couldn’t sleep so we were up until about quarter after 1 and about half an hour later he walked through the door and came in to check on us and man oh man … heartbreak alley! We stayed up with him for about a half an hour then he put us to sleep. Of course there was some nice nuzzling
ANNNYway. Good fishyman … we let each other sleep until 8:30 the new time. So there was some time, but probably not as much as we should have gotten. Or, him. But, that’s where we are. We tried to ignore this morning the TV show he watches first thing, but we were drawn into it. That is until it started to talk about politics. Comprehending Pakistan is further than we can go. Our world is much smaller.
Oh oh … it’s started, we started writing and he started cleaning up. He came in for my cereal bowl. Probably, I should line up some dirty clothes in case he goes that way. BUT, I don’t want to go there. I would like to get back to the Qnotes before we leave. I don’t want to, but I do want to get them done, because I’m so close.
I’ve only got three more to write.
Maury called back and we’ll be going about 1 – 1:30 to a late lunch. Neither of us felt comfortable at our own place so we’re going to meet up at Baker’s Square with him and the girls. I don’t think much of Bakers’ square and I don’t know if they have anything besides booths, but I’m not sure where else to go.
Hmm, spent some time going through a few things. It’s now 11 am. I took a shower, but am not dressed yet. I looked up other Cheesecake places. There is a restaurant called the Cheesecake Factory, but I called Maury and he said it is too upscale for kids. He said we could call ahead as to getting a table at Baker’s Square. He doesn’t want to count on the kids behavior at a good restaurant. I can see his point. I really understand the point.
Rich and us talked about Money again. I told him about the money management place we were looking at yesterday. He’s not against it – surprisingly had a few positive things to say, but he said to not mention that he is paying for some things like part of the rent or food or anything else. He said they might be tough on me. I think I could give up all luxuries, except Internet and the music. We need to pay for parking … ok, you know this part. We’ve gone over it many time before.
Yesterday we wrote up a list of expenses and we’re ready to talk to someone … Maybe later tonight we could try while Rich is home.
It’s looking like 1:30-2 for lunch and then Rich might go out with his son about 3-4, so I’m not sure where we are going to meet up tonight, but since we’re both going to separate restaurants, I don’t think either will be out too late. I would like to put more time into work issues, and I owe him some time to laundry. He’s working on it now. We helped him gather clothes. He’s on the second load to the washer. The first load upstairs should probably come up before we leave. We talked a little in between about that too. I said, realistically, were we in the market for a washer and dryer anytime soon. He said after a pause that if things are working out that maybe we could get it to each other for a Christmas present. I said that would be fine with me. Then neither of us could spend money on anything else – SERIOUSLY!
Then I would only have to worry about the boys and doing something at work. I think I could still get some nice plates at Target or something like that – for not as much money as the other part. The only other alternative is to keep the gifts downstairs, but I think that Rich is going to be against that. I think too it’s pretty expensive at this point.
Rich says that I’m about up to the first week of December as far as owing money to him. He’s given me $100 for with Maury … I don’t know … neither of us talked about any change back. I would like to give Maury the balance of the $100. Maybe save enough for Dr. Marvin’s this next couple of weeks. Rich filled the car before he left. So, what was that other thing that cost money? Maybe if I just keep $20 … about $30-40 for lunch and then he can have the rest. That would be a pretty good idea. I think I’m going to have to pay a deductable for a doctor appointment or two coming up. I think on either Monday or Tuesday I have an appointment to get the knee brace, but I don’t know where I wrote that down. Might have to call someone … I think that information is on my desk.
Ok, we’re pretty firm on that … $20 out and the rest goes to Maury and eating out.
I feel much better.
Ok, now we have to consider the Qnotes. Maybe if we just get them out again.
Ok, that is one Qnote done … it’s 11:33 am … Rich is busy cleaning and we’ve got just one more person to do. We’re going to do two months for him and a lunch goal.
He is more complicated because the staff is working with him at least 3 times a week for each of his goals. Ok, let’s bite the bullet and keep going. Pshwoo.
Woo Hoo. It’s already 1 pm and we’re still coordinating time stuff. It looks like we’re going to meet Maury at a place called the Cheesecake Factory.
