A Case in Point...
Good morning … I’ve got just one question … did anyone tell Dog directly we were soon to be going home???Poor Dog is acting peculiar this morning. He keeps saying, “I won’t go, I won’t, I won’t!” Usually it is a bit of a trick to get him to leave … we got to promise him something better on the other end. I already told him he could ride in the front seat if he promises to use the seat belt. Don’t know really what else he might want. He likes eating out I know that part for sure. We’re thinking about now he might like to share an omelet with us this morning. Might at least get him from under the covers. Best take these kind of things gradual.
The next picture is the last of our “cheesecake” series. By now, you’ve seen all the new stuff . This shot includes that fancy little towel thing that’s been going on in our bathroom. I’m afraid to mess it up … I don’t know if I had some aggression in me maybe we’d wreck it … but don’t want to do that either.
We’ve been feeling like royalty in these loungie things … This one is no exception. If I were truly a Queen this is what I might be wearing. The material feels sort of like kerchief material Soft and silky Ahh … Ok, you ... stop gigglin!
I am pretty sure that we did this to our credit card last night … I will remember this picture as living a truly entitled life. It just doesn’t get any better than this … Unless our sweetie pie was here to share it with us. But, we can be pretty sure, he would have passed on most of this … The sandwich maybe he would have taken … It was the best thickest turkey club. And, did you know you could order more than one Bloody Mary at the same time??? AHA! Someone ordered room service one more time it is so nice to be served in your pj's … Let’s see if I can get service here for under $30! We just ordered a veggie omelet, hash browns, toast and grapefruit juice. Mmmm… Maybe I should not have got the “royalty” clothes! Mmmmm…
Enough couldn’t be said for having coffee in the morning. This time our maid outdid herself. She left TWO premium gourmet coffees in our tray!
We were talking to Walt last night in IM. He said that we could take a picture of anything! So, we were sure to include a picture of our dew and ashtray. These have been pretty consistent on the trip. If there is any money left, we’ll buy some more smokes on the way back through Indianna. Cartons in Chicago … $55. Cartons in Indiana $27. There’s just no justice in this world!
I know the diet pop isn't probably significant next to the Haagen Daz, Hmm?
I went ahead and told dog that if he is c-o-o-p-e-r-a-t-i-v-e that I would give him a few minutes by himself down at the pond. He seemed to go for this idea ok. He said, “Look, look! A water fountain!” Had to giggle … he might have seen this before if he hadn’t spent all his hotel time comforting in bed!
I have to admit that going down to the pond was a good idea. Dog wanted to meditate for a while … he’s really in to the Zen thing. So, we appreciated his solemn wishes. Nothing like having a happy puppy.
As peaceful as I appreciated Dog was feeling … he started once more to set-out his resistances … When I said it was time to go he said, “No, I don’t think so. This is my true calling in life.” So, we said ok … ok …be like that … I’ll just leave you here all by yourself!
But, then! Unexpected company came by and Dog changed his tune! He said, “Please, please … Don’t leave me with the Goose people! They are bigger than me and might want meee for breakfast!” So, we sid, ok … it’s agreed then, but no more complaining??! And, he said, “No ma’am.” I wanna go home cuz I miss the nice cat people and our friend who tucks us in at night …” I said, “Ya, I know … let’s go have our breakfast and start getting things ready to go, k?” He said, “Uh huh. I'll get the tooth brushes!”
Oh boy … was Dog a happy camper then … I figure it’s always better when we work together rather than against each other. This is just a case in point!
