A very quick one as to getting ready for the day

Good morning this is me and it will be just a short one I’m thinking. It’s already 6:30 am and we DO have to go to work soon. We woke up late this morning and spent time just checking on the house situation. It seems close and then just far. We got our hopes all kindled up though so now have to take it down a bit. Rich stopped by here a moment ago before leaving and said he can tell when we’re obsessing. Hmm…

I suppose we’re going to need keeping an eye on that, hmm? Right now it’s between the house and MP.com

We can do this just have to concentrate. We don’t want to think of this morning because we’re going to be into a whole week plus of training. That’s a drain on a person. We’re going to need working this morning on getting things ready so that we can plan out the week on paper. I figure we’ll do that this morning instead of working on the computer directly in teaching clients. I might have tried to do this previously, but then there’s reason to argue it was a good thing to check things out here too.

I think we’ll need to go through our resource books too. I would like to get her into the thinking that we’re going to start at one place for each of the program areas and then we are going to progress from there. We can do it, right? We know we aren’t going to be able to expect her to do it if we weren’t doing it first.

I’ll have to see too I’m not sure if she’s going to work until late – being 4:00 pm. I would like to think she is, but it might only be until like 3 pm. That will make a big difference on how her time is going to flow closer to the end of the day.

I think then that since she’ll be doing every other week with me or Holly that Holly should get her this Friday so I can work a little longer with Kim coming in on just Fridays. The one I’m going to be training today is Robin. Pswhoo. That’s a whole lot of things happening in one week. Plus we need to stay focused on the Circles group and the sign language. We’ll probably have another group session today … I’m not sure if it will be at 11 because things are going a little awry with Sr. Florine. I’m not sure if we discussed this yet, but she has cancer. We’ll go into this more later as time permits. Just right now it’s enough to say we’re saying our prayers.

Besides that everything else is of minimal importance. I know that it’s supposed to be quiet because Sr. Florine said that Sr. Theresa doesn’t want her saying anything. Sr. Theresa is having trouble too in that she seemed to want to say something the other day, but just drifted off after saying in regard to Sr. Florine that it’s looking bad. She didn’t say why and of course we couldn’t tell her we knew, but we’re in sync with the gravity of the situation.

Ok you … that’s enough of that for the time being. Feeling a little drifty sad. I don’t want to start off the day there. And, I suppose that’s part of what Sr. Theresa is trying to convey. As much as Sr. Florine deserves a support network, we know Sr.’s point in that Sr. Florine would spend all her time and attention looking for support when other things need to be happening at the center.

I don’t think Sr. Florine understands her situation with the group either. Sr. Theresa had gotten the extra staff so that Sr. Florine didn’t have to teach and part of that is that Sr. Florine hadn’t stopped complaining about how much work it was.

But, then when the job was given to someone else, she complained because she didn’t think anyone knew how much she loved the group and being with them. It’s kind of a conflict of interest.

I’ve seen her lately at the desk that was just brought into the room and she seems to gravitate there in that I’ve hardly come into the room since when she’s been there and she’s sitting at the desk at all times. She makes the clients come to her. It wouldn’t have been a good situation, and I know she’s feeling deprived because the desk wasn’t brought in under her watch, now she feels she’s missing something. With Sr. Florine, I’m not sure if you can win when it comes to feelings and emotions. She’s pretty vulnerable.

So, that’s about it from that score.

We’ve got to be getting going now … we’ve got our day cut out for us. There’s always extra excitement when there’s new staff aboard. So, let’s get to thinking it’s going to be a good day and a lot of happy thoughts are going to occur.
