Ok, you ... let's get going, hmm?

Good morning. This is me. We don’t have a whole lot of time, but we’ve gotten in and out of the shower, packed our bags, and took the medicine. Oh and we started the dishwasher. I wanted to give sleepy bunny a surprise.

WooHOO! And sleepy bunny happens to have just gotten up! We got some very nice smooches for starting the dishwasher. Good-good!

So, it’s now about 6:20 am mid-week and we figure we’ve been off-line for a day or two. We just posted this morning the last entry, but I’m not sure which day that was supposed to have covered - one of those since the weekend.

We just told our bunny friend that he did a good job with his list of things he still needed for the boat. Somehow he saved the live links to the Word program, and then when I cut and paste it into his blog the links stayed alive and they are able to be clicked on. It seems he’d gone to Bass Pro and looked at all the items he needed for his boat. He also put down the general cost. I think he’s trying to get a fix on it, but he still hasn’t started purchasing items for the boat. Maybe in the next week or two he’ll be able to start by going to the fishy shows. He’s sure got a lot to be picking up. This is what his list looked like.

Whoops I just found out I cut off one of Rich’s fishing shows – the one that was about fishing in Chicago. Sometimes the fishy shows take over the viewing time and I’ve stopped taping to continue what I was watching. Shoot, didn’t mean to disappoint him. *Sigh*

Ok, better let that one go.

I’m not sure where we are at as to what’s been going on over the last couple of days. I know that we’ve been trying to concentrate on getting the Qnotes done. So far we’ve got everything caught up from the top drawer. That means we’ve got 6 clients left to do out of the 22. We got the back-dated ones caught up to include this last month’s sheets. So, with the first 16 clients we’re caught up for January. The six that are left though have to go back mostly until March. It’ll be ok. I figure if we could get in a couple good days we’ve got the goal to finish them up by Friday. It’s within the realm of possibility; the only problem is in preparing for the other meetings such as Circles, Staff training and the Thinking group – along with doing Group 1 in the morning. I’m not sure if I’m going to end up subbing too, but I’m hoping not. We’ve got a lot to do yet, because we still have to do the Staff training notes and we’ve got to do the staff’s signatures and we’ve really got to finish with the annuals. Pswhoo … lots to do yet.

Yesterday we did the second volunteer group that came in to be working with the clients. This group was from DePauw University in Indiana. They seemed less excited than the group last week, but I think everything went pretty well. We went through the same procedures as last week, and there really wasn’t anything exceptional to note. I wasn’t overly excited because I was focusing on getting the Qnotes done.

I don’t think there’s much more to say about the last couple of days. We just really hope to get those Qnotes done. I’m going to try not getting overly excited though … just we’re close and have the feeling that if we just push it we could get on track. It’s really important to do it before the inspections. Plus, we’ve got to go over the files again and look for missing data. Just so much to do with so little time, and all the time this is getting done, we’re getting further behind in CARF. Ok you … let’s not get problematic first thing in the morning, k? Thing is we’ve been making the best use of our time and there’s not much else we could do, but that, unless we were to start taking work home. I’m really not in favor of that idea because it really drains the system and we’ve been appreciating getting extra sleep when we get home.

Lately it seems that Rich has been out later into the day. We were at the gym on Monday, but we did not go yesterday. Instead we came home and ate, and then fell promptly to sleep. We woke up just before Rich got home, and then we did some snuggly things … and well, you know how all that goes. WooHOO! Rich tucked us then into our sleep on the chair while he watched a fishy show. We had the mask on and slept through the night without waking up to sleep with snuggly bunny. I really like being in bed with him, but I know we get a better night sleep in the chair with the mask. We play off the pros and con’s and get to both options, just never know which is coming up first.

Hmm, is there something else that needs talking about? Not sure if that’s the case. We didn’t get much done over the weekend in that there was no progress made with the book. I don’t remember what we were doing at this point and maybe we caught it with earlier blogging. Beside the pressures noted above on work, we’ve really not got much else as to thinking thoughts in our brain. It feels like we’re in a state of anticipation.

Hmm, I know … one other thing happened I remember. We got done with another annual. I think that’s what we were working on Monday morning. We had to do that work at that point, because we’d not gotten to it last Friday or over the weekend.

That turned out to be a good deal. Sister sat in on most of the meeting and we’d prepared both the 30 Day review and the summary of the group’s program areas. We had plenty to talk about and most of it was very good. This particular new client has nothing problematic in her behavior and she’s really a gem to work with.

Equally, her mother is really nice. I suppose it then runs in the family. They are very even tempered and practical. The mother home schools and is really dedicated to her children. Also, she’s just gotten a job to be working with the school district in sitting in an advocacy position of IEP’s. I’m not sure which grade level she will be doing, but it’s really a good position in general and particularly for her. Her ability to care is really going to make a difference. Sister felt pleased with the way the meeting was going. So that’s always an extra sparkly on the day.

Hmm, there’s one other thing that happened that I haven’t mentioned yet. I got a chance to talk to my old friend Pat I believe it was on Sunday. It was so very, very cool. I really hope that we can keep up with the relationship. It turns out that she’s now at home due to a disability incurred at her work. She sounds so good in comparison of all that she has to deal with her physical problems, family and financial needs. I think that about covers the big issues that most of us have. If you have problems with medical and then throw in the others life can be quite a handful.

Talking to Pat though was like never having missed a beat. I felt just as comfortable with her as I ever had been. Time really does sometimes stand still.

There was a lot of catching up as to day to day things, but I felt as much love for her as there ever was. I know that I’m not very good at keeping up with relationships, in that I’ve met some really good people along the way, but I become involved with our own life as to just getting through the week and then writing about it that I don’t invest a lot of time in being with friends. For this one friend in particular I really hope that it changes and I can keep up.

Ok, that’s probably about it for now. It’s time that we get moving. We are going to need to clear off the car before we get going. Hmm, maybe not? I’m not sure. I just heard Rich in the kitchen. He opened the back shades. I wonder if he’s thinking he might want to go down and help me out. I don’t want to take advantage of him in that way though, so I won’t ask or expect he does that for me every morning. He’s not ready to go out for the day, so maybe this morning we can help ourselves?

Life is good!
