Just a few minutes with stats on the Circles group
Good morning … just me. We’ve only got about 15 minutes so this one is going to be short. It’s taken us a bit of time to figure out where we are this morning. I’m not anywhere real coherent. We got up about 6 am and took our shower right away, but then we fiddled around with email and such. We were in kind of a funk space. We also had some dressing, but too much of it so we were a little sick. You’d think we would know by now, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
Rich is concentrating on his work in the kitchen on his computer. So, we’re not disturbing him this morning. We were in the chair to go to sleep, but then we’d woken up about 3 am and decided to curl up with snuggle bunny. He’s such a dream boat!
As to the general days … we might have to acknowledge that we’re missing time because we haven’t written since Sunday. I don’t think we could do it justice by trying to frame it in here. There’s just too much to think about. In general though, we’ve been working at work. So this is a good thing. It seems though there is so much to do … we’re not getting very far though the feeling of working is suiting our tastes.
Yesterday we got into working on the Circles program. I think we did ok there. We set up a situation where hmm, are we going to remember? Oh yes, I know … they had to meet four different objectives. The first was that they could identify colors on a sheet. There were 6 colors matching the colors on the rings in the Circles program. And then they had to identify the animals … we brought in our stuffed animals so there was a girl bear, boy bear, mama bear, duck, fly, and monkey. We were working with group 3 and as easy as this seems … they didn’t all get it. And, then the next task was to relate each of these animals with a role, such as the girl or boy bear depending on your gender was you, and the other then was your friend.
Then the mama bear was your parent, the fly was a child, the monkey was Ms. Ann – associate, and the the duck was a stranger. Then last they had to identify each of these as to a color, in that purple was yourself, blue was the parent, green was the friend, yellow was the associate, orange was the child, and red was the stranger.
We almost got through everyone and we did quite a bit of stats afterward. I don’t recall exactly, but they seemed to be able to get about 75% of it. We might be more specific here later. We also went back and did the stats for the work we’d done before as to the pictures and identifying roles. We have the top ten from the top and the bottom, so it goes as follows.
The pictures most identified with the best at the top were:
4 city people – family
2 doctors – workers
5 suburbanites – family
1 dad and 3 kids – family
4 easterners with shawls – friends
Guy shaving – individual
10 Iraques around dinner on floor – family
Poor family of 10 with dogs – family
Oriental child in bed – child
Blond lady in gold suit – individual
Now the 10 pictures they had the hardest time identifying staring at the hardest were:
Very large faceless crowd – stranger
Police in crowd – stranger
2 marines with tear gas – worker
3 men in rain jungle – worker
City dwellers walking away – stranger
Angry boxer – individual
Gray haired storyteller – friend
Crowd with flags – stranger
White robed karate people – stranger
We’ve got to go now, but the one set of observations at the top of the order are that … they most identified with the family pictures and they least identified with the stranger pictures. You can get this by the amount of trouble they had collectively with each.
That’s about it for now … hopefully more on the statistics later. For now … take care!
