A quip

Good morning this is me. We’ve been up for about an hour, but sometime in there we lost time. Seems it took a while to start and then about an hour ago we figured we better check on Rich, because he said he was only going to sleep for a half hour.

Pshwoo. There went the last half hour. It was a little rocky … I wasn’t sure if he was going to make it, because I’m pretty sure there were parts of him working in reverse. You know what it’s like when someone says “I’m up.” But, he’s still laying down and it actually means I’ve lifted one of my eye brows, but the other one is still resting.

We knew we were making progress when he said … why don’t you just rub my shoulder for five moments. That’s the part where real words were coming from his mouth. Hehehe my poor fisherman!

He had news when he came home last night. I think he got in just before 10 pm. His mother and Bud were flooded out of their home. Sheesh … that’s pretty terrible. I guess the water was up past a couple steps. They have a mobile home and it was raised off its foundation just in case of flooding. I guess his mom didn’t go easy though. I think one of the step-daughters was worried, so they had to call the firemen … It took six of them to get her out of the house and at that they put her on a stretcher and carried her out. Sheese! What happened if the firemen had a lot of people to save? We don’t know if the water went in the house. Rich is taking off the next 3 days he said to help out, but I think he has to be doing some work too. I know one of those days was supposed to be my vacation. *Sigh*

I don’t know how bad the water is going to be in the city. There is one viaduct we have to go under. Usually that’s a problem anytime there is significant rain. But, there is some safety knowing that you live on the third floor. I really really hope the water didn’t get into their house. It could be a real mess. Rich’s mother and Bud are staying with one of Bud’s daughter’s. I’m not sure how long any of them could survive that. I think Rich’s family can be stubborn! No, not like me! Ha … am not!
Awe sweetie has gotten out of the shower. I think I’m going to need going in their next. It’s already a few moments after 6 am. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of excitement up ahead. I think his eyes are open for real now. Did I mention that I missed him!??? Wow especially that first hug … it’s so scrumptious. You can just eat him up.

Ok, some time has gone by and we might not be too much further ahead except we’ve taken our shower and packed and … drat forgot medicine brb.
