Ok, this is really a day or two later ... but I wanted to post the picture

Good morning this is me … and this is me on vacation. WooHOO!!!

We’re waiting for all our devises to catch up. I think I have like about 250 things to sync on the iPod. There are a lot of free news things on iTunes – such as Anderson cooper, business week, Cnn, NPR, War news world view and of course the official Barack Obama video podcasts. Most of it though is downloading the music that I lost when I was syncing from work. I forgot to touch a button right and Pshwoo … it was all taken off. But, we’re going back now so should be ok. I’m a little worried if the information I’d typed in from the book I was reading is still going to be on my to-do list … but, we’ll just have to wait it out. It’s about half way through now. Ok, now just a few more to go. I had one movie in there – the Manchurian Candidate and that’s taking some time.

We’re back to listening to Indie Pop … Like the music of Belle and Sebastian. It’s some good stuff.

Did I mention I was on VACATION!!???

Rich woke me up about 45 minutes ago … he was on his way out. I think we were too groggy to give him a proper send off, but he slipped out just the same. Dang!

Hmm music got slugged up a bit … hope that doesn’t happen more … ok, there it goes. Let’s not go there, right?

A little jittery this morning thinking of all that I want to get in in a very short amount of time. I’m not sure, but might take Friday off too. That give me a straight 5 days off … now that’s some vacation. Sister is going to be gone all of next week … she left Holly in charge so you can imagine how well that went over.

We’re not really talking to her about anything. If she tries to tell me one thing … I think we’ll leave. Not putting up with too much shit, but now we’re on vacation and we don’t feel like working up a full sweat. Eh … let her have it.

Woohooo!! Almost done syncing … it’s doing my calendars now. There’s so much stuff competing for my ears and general attention now days it’s hard to figure out where to turn. I’m very much plugged in. And, then today we’ll get the Wi-Fi too. I sure hope they can do it without messing up my high speed on the Internet. We’ll have to make decisions at that time.

Wow ! Ok, all done … better check out the iPod.

Hmm, ok … we’re moving along here slowyly

Ok, not moving along here any faster … now it is after the Comcast guy came out.

SOOOO we have been playing with our Internet options on the Wi-Fi. Turns out there is an application button … we’re just looking for the free stuff, but we got some cool things. Like one is a notecard quizzing thing that allows you when you got a second to test yourself with learning. Another is a real estate deal that allows you to look at what’s going on around your neighborhood – brief description and cost of local houses for sale. Yet another one is a eReader .. I’m going to test that next.

I think what it should do is read stuff for me out loud … Whoops hold on we can check that now.

Man ... this has to be just right. It corresponds to Honor D'Balzac's Conversation and The Great Books Conversation. This was made by someone named Brian Solis. He's called it dead on ... We have to ask him though if he can send a better more readable copy. I want to study the hell out of it. I know that there is no possibility of any one person utilizing all of these web 2.0 businesses but the fact remains is that it is all a huge conversation as Brian states and somewhere within is about everything - because of the web's ability to aggregate through it's forms and functions not only those who are profound, but those who are hunted and gathered in the simple reading or purchasing of that which is being advertised. Here almost everything if not everything is a commodity on one's time and attention as well as pocket book. At once fascinating and stretched to a sow's ear tight as if a confusion of our many becoming yet bankrupt realities. Tut sweet!

WOW!!! You need to see this. Brian sent me another version through his Flickr ... It's a BEAUTY! For all the Brian's out there ... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You've made my day!

Click on the second wheel and you'll see what I mean. He has one more that is bigger, but this one fits the screen nicely and could be transferred using our Snagit ... Again this is The Conversation Prism by Brian Solis and JESS3 ... they claim it to be The Art of Listening, Learning, and Sharing. WALLAH! Well Said!
