Short Sketch on the Day
Good morning … this is me. It’s now 8:54 – so we’re bout to 9 and we’ve passed the time sluggishly. We’ve been talking to Candice, which is a very enjoyable thing to do … very low on stress. And, I like the way her mind works, she is very careful in thinking things through that are important to her. I should probably be doing more business shaping, but it’s nicer sometimes to just listen to where she’s at. I also find that I can’t help but to add things that I’ve been through, like Hey, I’ve done that or thought that before too. But, on the same respect we have to appreciate her differences in years and that interests might be at certain levels that have gotten past us, or could be imagined as similar to the boys. In general though, I wait for her to realize she has to be getting back to business … when I talk with her I don’t like to hurry her and I don’t know why that is, because there are other parts that worry about the amount of business getting accomplished by her OR us. Don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I’m here doing the best we can.Maybe with that in mind we could finish up just a few things and get ready to jump back in it. I know there are a few outstanding tasks we want to get through.
What? I don’t know. Wait, wait … I feel like I’m being jumped here. Why should I have to think through all that? Yeah, right start things up. I’m really not for that at all. Ok, ok … I’m calm, I can do it. But, just letting you know I’ve got other personal stuff too. HMPF!
Ok … for the busy bodies … we got work to be doing and that work is: Wait, let me think. There’s stuff open on the desk … First I can see which client we’re working on because there’s an open book on the information sheet page – means probably we needed an address or parents’ name, then there is an old proposed goal, the rough draft notes from the annual meeting, and then on the computer looks like his new annual, and in back of that is his agenda for 2007 and the page is turned to his proposed goals. Very good. Ok, now I have to figure out what all those things are for. Probably closer to the top sheet, let me look at the new annual. I think we have to finish it.

Yeeks that’s pretty forward … someone left me a message saying in bright red letters “start here.” Ok, so that’s like the paragraph where we copy notes from the meeting’s minutes. I could probably do that. Now. What else?
Let’s see first this person’s annual is done. Then what? Oh ok, we have another annual to do for the one done yesterday, and then we have to go back to Qnotes. I forget what’s going on with that. Ok, checked that. It seems we just got a couple more months on this one, and then we got two more complete sets to get done, and then we got to do this months’ meaning we need to do the notes for September. Hmm, I wonder if I got all those notes done. Have to check later. Meetings? Damn, let me think. Yikes, today is Thursday. That means staff training AND CIRCLES. I think I got all them together. Not sure about the video part though. Let me check.
Hmm, that took a little effort. The CIRCLES bag was a mess … I figured out that we need to do the second green circle with three groups and the first green circle with the Leadership group … that is I think … we’ll focus more later … just know I need the green pencils sharpened for Group I and any others behind. I’m ok there … though I left the green tape in the machine yesterday. That’s a little thing.
Now for the staff training … I think this is the meeting we’re finally going to have on objectives, and also the meeting where we were going to use computers. I don’t remember why. Better look that up. Ok, been there done that. I found the package … and I changed it around a little … we’ll still use computers, but we’ll hold back on the Encyclopedia Britannic lessons for if there is time at the end. I want to work through the first part and especially the second where we develop picture cards for something different. It means that within an hour or so, we might want to check the laminator. Maybe we could ask Maria to bring it with and let everyone know that we’re meeting in Brandi’s room. I wonder if she’s around and if her room is clean.
Better ask her. I think I’m going to look now.
Hmm. Back again it’s now 10:21 am. I went as far as seeing the Leadership group left a mess. I don’t know yet if Brandi is around to clean it up or set up the computers. I know she’s at work, but she might be doing on the job training. In the meantime, I made a few calls out. I called the bariatric surgery part and left a message with the surgeon’s secretary. I then made an appointment with the dermatologist for October 30th at 2:45 pm, and then I called the family clinic, but was told they could only schedule appointments 2-3 weeks in advance. So I left a note to call them back on Monday, November 5th. Hmpf … that is a pretty stupid thing. I think that’s one of the reasons I lost touch with them before … it was too hard to work within their system. I like to know in advance where I need to schedule things in.
We’re really confused now … I think that we need to eat our fruit, hold on. Pshwoo ok … need a minute to normalize. We had an orange. It was like we are into the business of eating an orange. We’re not really into it as much as just something that has to happen. It burned my thumb opening it up. Hate that when it happens.
Ok, so where are we? It’s now about 10:30 and we aren’t really doing anything for work yet. Hey, someone left me coffee today! That was nice … hmm, some kinda stale pop too … hmm, well it will keep me lubricated
Ok, what’s the story here … we’ve got work in front of us and someone has put out where we’re at probably should read up … hold on. Why am I so fuzzy. Maybe we should try doing some work, maybe that will straighten us up … Right now just having keys typing on the computer seems strange, but I know this is what we do, right?
Ok, let’s look at that “Start here” place … brb.
Ok, it’s me again. It’s about 2:37 now. A couple of the staff helped to extend the staff training. Now there is a little meeting going on in back of me with Sue and Candice … whoops … it merged over to Sue and us. We needed to straighten out a few things over one of the client’s goals. As it turns up he was coming up for a meeting about it next week so we both sat down and came up with some new ones.
I talked to Sweetie Pie and told him about the doctor appointments and he’s due in a few minutes. We’re going to need asking for $10 for the parking. I don’t know if that will be a problem. He told me a funny boss incident where the boss complained about union’s discussion of Rich and then it turned out that they were discussing the boss. I guess the shoe fitting on the other was a kind of revelation to the boss … *silly grin*
I’ve only got about 10 minutes to wrap up the day. I spose we’ll finish with this writing. We did for the record to ok with the meetings. The CIRCLES with group II was on friendships, and the staff was primarily goals and objectives and using visual aids from the computers. I think I was more confusing than I should have been to start, but it all worked out. They had to work at something that was tough for them to think through so I’ll probably get a bad report on this one. *Sigh*
Let’s think optimistically … we’re going to Dr. Marvin’s. This is a good thing. I don’t know what we’ll talk about tonight, I rarely do. He might say something about us going to the doctor’s. And, if the results are back from the lab, he’ll tell me. But, that would be a small part. Maybe tell him about Maury and the kids visiting and visiting Joe for Karate. Otherwise? Not sure. We’ll see … Going to close up though … bye for now!
