Just a little morning ...
Good morning. It’s just me. It’s 5:30 am, so we have a half an hour before work.Yep, we have to go to work today. We wish that we could have had a better day yesterday. Well, we did in the morning, because Rich was home, but then we lost the afternoon to being very much out of it and sleepy.
BUT, the Rich home part was good. We went to the computer a little bit, but then he called us in wanting to know if we were interested in back rubbing him while he got dressed. Well, we’re always up for that … so in we scooted. And, then I guess bunny thought while he was undressed. Well, anyway … it was a very, very nice place to be with him. :) *That’s a big beaming smile!*
And, now we’re back to listening to love songs *Sigh* Life is good.
In between this other stuff, we were watching and “helping” Rich with his work. Uh huh, that’s what we’re calling it. We watched how he does the emails and calls and such. We didn’t watch him do a contract though, but I think he enjoyed having us there. He said we made him stay on task. I think he could have done that without us, but we enjoyed our time with him. He let’s us ask questions and the things that he does seem to make a lot of sense. I have a lot to learn from the way he organizes. He went from like 160 emails down to about 18. We were pushing that he do those to finish it up, but then I realized that a few of those emails are back from another year. The next time, we are going to help him file that or at least show him that option. I didn’t want to interrupt this time. His system is simple, but complex because he gives it so much depth. I think we could help him expedite.
As mentioned the afternoon went pretty badly. I think we didn’t take our pills in
the morning. We asked Sweetie and he was pretty sure we had, but we feel differently if they are missed. We took a recovery dose at 5:15 pm and then laid down. We had given Rich a call asking him to come home, but he still had groceries to do. He snuck in the house without us realizing he was there because we were so tired. He woke us up when he was settled at 7 pm. We were better then, but still a little out of it, so he said we could watch tv with him. He called it Sci-fi night. I forget what we watched though. We ate sandwiches from the deli and we later ate popcorn. It was nice even if he was reading the last hour AND watching the show.
There’s this other parts too, because I think we’re missing most of Sunday too. I can’t really do it well since there is only 15 minutes left, but we had a real blast! It was so exciting. We picked up Joe in Dekalb, and then drove with him to South Beloit. I even did the driving … he talked and went in and out of napping. I figured right in that he didn’t get enough sleep – only about 6 hours. We used the PDA of course to direct us there, so that wasn’t a problem. We got there a half an hour early, and Joe had talked to the guy in charge who was marvelous. He asked Joe and other black belts to be the judges. There were six rings on a high school basketball court. They were each numbered by floating balloons tied to chairs … and the areas were further marked by tape. They marked the seating area of the participants (younger). He set up each of the “rings” himself one at a time. He was so good. He had a cordless mike and walked around the floor at break neck speeds … he answered all questions, started all matches and then at the very end when it was the black belts turn – he participated as one of the five judges. This guy was so gosh darn good. Everyone registered for the events at the door.
He started with the 4-5 year old boys in one ring for one event, there were like 6-7 events in each age. He placed groups going up in age around each of the rings. And then there were lead judges in each group. There were 3 judges and one score keeper in each ring. Joe was in a ring on our side of the gym so we didn’t have to move.
He worked from about 11:30 to about 3 on judging.
We had, of course, needed our wheel chair, so we got a spot right on the main floor in the middle of the gym. And, we had told Joe, we had brought sandwiches and a video camera … both of those were very appreciated. The actual watching was so very cool. I could do it for a long time and had absolutely no complaints. There was one boy there in gyms school so we video’d him AND Joe. It helped to make things more personable. It turned out we had like 240 minutes, so we made use of that.
Joe being up … darn … we’re out of time. I will try to add this part after we get to work. But, now I want get in that shower and then wake up Sweetie Pie. Just love him to pieces!
Hehehe ... Sweetie Pie is up in the little room. I wonder if he's going to take a shower, or ...
Hmm, think or ... he's out to make the sandwich! WooHOOO!!!
