Sleep Apnea Machine and Wall of Mall
Good morning. This is me. We’re getting a fairly late start on the morning. It’s now 8 am … we had gotten up early made the coffee and then had gone back to bed. When we got up we cleaned up the bathroom, figured we’d shut the bedroom door and then the rest had to suffice. Cept cleaning up by the kitty litter box. We’ll do that to, but now have about 3 hours to do that so were taking a break from it. I don’t know exactly what happened yesterday cuz we were going ok at a schedule to do 2 papers … and then from best we can remember we had to reboot the computer, and then I know my son IM’d in there, and then the only thing I can remember is that it was about 9 pm and we were trying to go to bed though someone was listening to a podcast about some lady.Hmm, could probably look that up something about shopping … AHHH
Rosemarygoesttothemall.com
This was the site we found, but I really don’t know from what, but I think we were pretty immersed in it. This lady apparently is an artist and she lives in St. Paul, MN and she did an art project where she collected 300 bags from different stores at the Mall of America and attached them to an 8 x 20’ frame and called it “Wall of Mall.” Cute, hmmm?
The part we fell for was listening to a few of her podcasts … they are from 30-60 minutes long and it explains her logic in each of the purchases, because she had found that she couldn’t just ask for bags … she had to buy something and then return it without the bag … EVEN though that was reported as getting kind of expensive … She started posting the podcasts last July and is up to about 16 … I think there will be like 26 maybe? I don’t remember where I read that to check. She said though that she put out $15,339.46 at the mall … some of the stuff though she kept … her husband like was having chest pains about that, but the goal was to return the stuff. In the videos (from link above), you can hear her summarizing each days shopping event and in all it is pretty fascinating. I think she was fairly honest about where she was at and the things that were catching her attention. It is sorta like this blog where we just go on and on, but hers has more of a succinct point and when you add it all together … really is artistic … loved it! It’s a saga!
We turned it on in the background, but I don’t know how long we’re going to be able to do it without it throwing off our focus. We did the first two without much problem, but we’ve had problems with the next two podcasts cutting off. We’re trying the audio file copy now. We’ll see how that goes. We figure already she’s kind of out of control with it, because she spends so much time finding things that she would like to keep and then she doesn’t want to return. She is going a little crazy … like she’s tapped into some obsessive thinking. It’s full of guilt and compassion. She’s a good storyteller and has a nice voice. A littttle Bostonian-NY, but she’s now a Minnesotan … so that makes her way up there in our book since we come from MN. Well yes that includes certain elements of manipulativeness and self-centeredness, but that could only be expected.
Ok, we’re back It’s now about 10 am with about an hour to go. We got done with about everything that we were going to do, which means about a 73% cleaning effort.
It will have to do, because although she’s a guest, she’s still a stranger and I don’t want to hurt for someone I don’t need to impress. She’s here to take care of me, not me her. I should remember though to start a fresh pot of coffee, other than that she can have water, but the cap won’t be sealed … we’ll let her know that we recycle if necessary. I really hope she’s not here for a full 2 hours that would be sad. Oh oh … never thought … I wonder if she is going to make me pay the $43 up front. I’ve got no money resources here. Maybe there is $20 down in the car and some singles … let’s hope I don’t need that, cuz I’m planning to pay gas soon. I don’t want to bother my friend with this though … we’ll just have to play it out.
Ok, well I think I’m done with most everything then except to put on my outer top and shoes and socks. We didn’t get done with the vacuuming, but everything is picked up and wiped down … that has gotta count for something. I’m going to be ok with a stranger in the house, right? Ok, we left a call with our friend … in case we turn up dead from letting a stranger in the house. He’ll know she was here and probably done it.
I think we’re going to need relaxing … we just took the medicine though its not working yet. Maybe we should have breakfast? That be a good idea, right? Ok … just breath … we’re going to do this … why don’t we put on our shoes first … maybe that will make us feel more in control.
That’s better … too hot for the top shirt. Now do we want music? Hmm, maybe lets see … ok, but not too loud k? Kind of gives us a swaying feeling.
Ok, now 45 minutes … anything else, or should we try to get into school some … that be a good idea, right? We were on the part where we were going through other resources at the library. Maybe we should try that … let’s see if we can focus. K?
You can do it baby!
Hmm, little worried here … checked in over at the bank … it says that there is a pending charge in that then were paying my car insurance $81, but there was only $62 in the account so I’m $20 over … it was supposed to have been blocked not to pay anyone. The upsetting part is that it says my account is closed. I think that is because I voluntarily said no payments should be made, but it looks a little scary … like do I have a checking account anymore? Better talk to our friend about that, but we’ll do it later. Maybe a call to the bank too, but not right now … too close to that lady getting here. I sure hope she doesn’t have to carry too much up the stairs. Ok, ok … we’re not going to panic … It’s going to be ok … need to talk to our friend though.
Ok, we were going over to school let’s try that again. Let’s go, k? Now be strong.
Hmm, here we are again. It’s about 4:30 pm and we expect sweetie pie any minute … we just want to make a note that we’ve now finished our note taking process. We are going to need squinting that down to be more relevant. Hopefully, after sweetie leaves tonight … He is going to be here fairly early. We worked up to the woman being here, she came about noon and stayed til 2 pm and then we slept for an 1 ½ - til 3:30, then we messed around with the machine, and finishing up the reading until now. Well, at least something close to that … YEEKS … sweetie’s here … gotta go!
Later!
