Tailoring a morning for a football afternoon!

Good morning. It’s just me. We have been up for a couple of hours maybe just kind of foolin around between mail and reading this and that on the computer. Mostly, we are looking at diet and exercise kind of things. We would be into it more, but the video thingy isn’t working quite right. We’ll try again later. Pretty much we are seeing that AOL has a lot of coaching advice on about everything under the weather … so one at a time in 1 ½ minute increments they are going to save the world. Hehehe … that’s about the tolerance range for American viewers I’m afraid. Like me! Naw, just kidding, but I do find the phenomena a little funny.

We tried to write some yesterday, but we were having trouble focusing even more than today. We ended up watching video’s in the early morning, then went to the gym, and then watched news clips through the early afternoon, and then about 4 pm, we went to the Egg store, this time remembering to bring money with us and then about 7 pm we watched a show, but then fell asleep before getting to the Law and Order show, we preferred watching. Kitties had a dickens of a time trying to wake us up and true to form we wake up with a little headache from sleeping with the TV having been on. I don’t know what happened to the remote, but its sort of a problem, that on the better days we insist on not watching TV at the end of the day when we are tired. Eh … life’s a process.

For the record, I wasn’t so impressed with the Netflix videos we watched. We’ll skip over that … we’re not going to push ourselves to remember much of them right now. They were watchable, just not remarkable. We are still needing to push ourselves to get out to the gym on time … we’re going to need working on us getting into the shower earlier than “just before the gym.” At this point it is 7 am and we’re still going with the idea of being at the gym about 11 am. Because it’s a weekend. Ahh, our gum pain is receding … good (from tooth taken out), we had taken some of the Tylenol with codeine about a half an hour ago, because the gum was so sensitive. Ok, ok … concentrate.

We had more problems at the gym in finishing up the regimen. I’m thinking it’s because we were pushing ourselves. We started with the treadmill and pushed it to 8 minutes. Then we went right to the bike and pushed that to 9 minutes which is the first time at that time. We went pretty well through the weights then. We’ve had a couple of days at doing the hard one for lifting at the second weight. This is the first couple of days trying it and this is the last of the weights that we hadn’t yet pushed up to the second weight. We’re doing it, but it is still ranked pretty high on the difficulty scale. We are rushing through it just to hit the number 12 rep without trying to last out at a slower more regulated pace. We didn’t have to worry about others on the equipment, until we got toward the last 3 machines on the front row. There we met up with a person doing jump roping in the aisle which interfered with our normal progression to those last machines. But, we were patient and waited until she finished and then got the work done. I think it is a good thing to watch what some of the other women are doing. She was a very, very good jump roper. She had the timing, speed, and could change up at will. And, no errors! Have to admire that.

We’ve found in general the very best of the women in doing body shaping will end up over in front of the mirror in back of the first row doing the hardest of exercises without machines. You kind of have to watch that group. And, now when we are establishing our hypnotist goals and they ask us to imagine the perfect weight, exercise, and energy, we are sublimating with these women and what they are doing. Beauty in motion. It is good to have ideals, though we’re a long way down the road. In particular, my favorite person to watch is one of the staff. She is a very strong and assertive person who I believe to have the best shape in the gym. She is very tight! It’s one thing not to have excess weight, but it is another to be very strong and athletic looking. I admire her a lot. At some point of the day … most of the women working at the gym do their gym routine … It’s pretty cool to watch. There is one of the ladies working there who isn’t as fit as the others, but she seems to have internal energy, so we’re thinking she’s working right along with the rest of them to find her perfect shape.

We’re still lacking some good thought patterns while we’re doing the work and should be distracting ourselves a bit. We need something to be studying or relaxing with that will take our mind off of watching the grueling part of adding minutes to the meters that will get us through the time period without collapsing. We’ve had it happen to us a couple of times now … just as yesterday, where we are only able to do the last bike intervals a couple minutes at a time. In circumstances like this where we just can’t go on another minute, we pause and rest a minute, then do another minute, so on so on until we’ve managed to get out the full time on the machine. I’m thinking this is the better way to go, than to just stop completely. We need the practice of going on with the routine until the full number of minutes is accounted for. There is a little worry as far as our appearance in not being able to get it out while looking cool and in control, but we’re managing past that, because of the reality of our poor shape. Most of the women aren’t as big as we are, so they don’t face the same challenges and they don’t most likely have the osteoarthritis to be dealing with. It makes a big difference, particularly when we are doing the treadmill. BUT, we’re looking at the point where we ARE doing 8 minutes now and we’re pretty darn proud of that. It marks that we’ve doubled the amount of time on that machine since we’ve started. We’re going to try remembering today to look at our sheets to figure out how long we’ve been at the gym. I think pretty soon, we should try taking some measurements, but I wouldn’t mind waiting at least 5 more pounds before that gets done.

This morning, we weighed in at 295.4. That is a very good weight for us right now and represents 17 pounds, which is a new high. We know though that our weight will fluctuate back up higher … we’re glad this last round of fluctuations did not push the weight at the higher end up farther than 300.4. Maybe this next round we’ll go down now a bit further and when it fluctuates up, we’ll stay under 300. Here’s to that hope at least.

The really big news of course that hasn’t yet been covered is that we and our friend went to the hypnotist on Thursday night. It was a little harder to sit through then the last time, because we seemed to be more tired and the chairs seemed a little uncomfortable over time. It was a slight problem in that there were more than 40 people, and even though we got there a little early and had that much extra time to wait, it took quite a long time to register everyone and for him to get going. He is not the kind of guy that blazes speed forward. *Sigh* He was very methodological.

We haven’t spent enough time with our friend to figure out how things that happened that night affected him. We did get a copy of the extra sheet we were given for him and he stated that he would put it in his car visor. That’s a good sign. We’ll have to check up if he’s doing it everyday like they said. The hypnotist stated it is a much stronger possibility that the program will work if the material is gone over every day. We’ve been doing it so far and hope to continue. We’re still a little sluggish though … It’s about 3 short pages of information to go through, but we’re not able to remember it by heart. I think our friend will be able to do that … so that is to his advantage, but we’re not going to want him to take shortcuts. He has to go over it. But, then I might be singing to the choir, because of all his work learning new rules for officiating his 3 sports, he might be the one in a much better position to be doing as he was told during the meeting.

I know immediately after the meeting on our way home with our friend, he was going through the immediate pattern he has of discounting or minimizing what was being said. But, in checking him out since then, I know that he has his mind firmly on figuring out what he has to be doing next. I’m going to try staying out of his business as much as possible, in that he really does need to set up his own goals. We worry about his safety though, such as his first program ideas were to set up a 3 day fast. He said he would eat one meal, but he was focusing on cleaning his system before things got under way. I’m not really sure how that works, but we worry about him not having enough food to do what he needs to do, because his life requires high amounts of energy. Hmm, maybe it is just in our nature to worry. We want him to be taking care of ourselves and in everything we know … it is better to eat smaller more balanced meals though out the day and not set ourselves up to be fighting “starvation conditions” with ourselves.

As to changes that we’ve noticed so far … one of the first and strongest affects was in our energy toward getting to a new store, called “The Egg Store” that specializes in fruits and vegetables and is on our way home from both work and gym. It is not a very big store, but big enough. It is usually got a good amount of people there, so that tells me it is a place well respected by the community. Feel real good about that. It took me a while to figure out where exactly it was, because we have alternate routes to get to work, and we couldn’t remember exactly where it was that we saw it. The first time, we realized that we didn’t have any money. So then we borrowed $10 from our friend, and then we realized we took a route that didn’t cut-off to it the way it should have been. So then, the next time we took the right route, but realized too late that we’d clipped the $10 to a bag that was at home and not in the car. SO, the next time we held firmly to the money all the way there and we finally made it to our destination.

There is an analysis phase of the hypnotist homework that states, “What can I do to make sure that wholesome nonfattening food is always handy, and to minimize the availability of bad foods.” This was the part where we were inserting each time that we were going to make it to the fruit store. The size of the store and parking lot is just the perfect size for the store, although in its peak hours, I’m sure it fills up. I think the parking lot is set for about 40 cars. The inside of the store smells delicious and is very open and squared. It seems like you can see everything at the same time, though you really want to go through each change of item specifically, we were the first time very focused on the fact we only had $10 and didn’t want to embarrass ourselves at the check-out. The first thing that caught our attention was the juicy seasonal apples … that weren’t on our original list, but we thought man … do they look good. Hehehe this might be part of the hypnotism. They have us thinking … “I am always going to focus on the pleasure that I get from eating the healthful nonfattening foods that I want to eat more of.” That really makes a trip to a fruit/veggie store amazing. The apples were like 69 cents a pound, and I didn’t have the foggiest idea how many apples to a pound, so I only took 2. My best bet was thinking of the approximate size of a 5 pound bag of potatoes. I spotted the oranges next which were target items. I noted that the expensive ones were 79 cents a pound, and cognizant that I’d already used up some money and aware that I hadn’t gotten to my favored fruit the grapefruit, I made another executive decision to get only 2 of them. Right after the oranges I found the grapefruit. They were 99 cents a pound. I wish I had some kind of scale internally to go on, but I still was very foggy as to what a pound was. I spotted one scale, but thought I’d better work toward it, but was too abashed to go directly bee-lined toward it. There were a good number of people even at the un-peak time I went and all of them looked a lot more natural in their shopping habits.

I picked up 3 grapefruit and struggled to figure out how much we’d spent. I did a loose calculation that everything I bought was a pound. So, I calculated $2 apples, $2 oranges, and $3 grapefruuit. That would leave me with approximately … $2 with tax? Does grocery have tax? I wasn’t sure, but I knew I was in Chicago formally, so I figured if there was tax it would be high. That’s about when we spotted the long row of “nut” items. Damm. That seems to be another hot item on our nutrition list. Our doctor had said that we needed to have more protein and this was a good place to pick some up. The top of the item list for nuts were walnuts, but they said $2.50 per pound and we were sure we didn’t have that much. But, the peanuts there were a lot of and you could fill your own bag at 99 cents per pound. AND, there was a scale close to the peanuts, so we thought this was our opportunity. We filled a pretty good size bag and discovered very happily that we were only like at a quarter of a pound … WoooHOOO. We weighed the other items and discovered essentially that nothing really was a pound except when you added it all up. We felt more confident we were going to make it through the check-out, but planned to give back the peanuts if we weren’t going to make it.

The lady at the cash register was pretty quick and we were into our dark zone of being dizzy and not being able to concentrate. It was like being in shock. We were the first lady up to the cashier and quickly behind us 3 more people fell into line. We were thinking this was going to embarrass us if we went over, and there was no place to escape, but then??? She said something that made us want to think maybe faint. She said that our total was $4.16 … The first thought was to push out our hand with the wadded $10 bill. We thought man we gotta get out of here fast before she realized she’d made a mistake. $4.16 … that was half of what we were willing to pay. F*** just couldn’t be. We rested as she fumbled through making change to just be holding ourselves up. Then we thought of the order we would grab things to get out of the line fast … including the cane. By the time we’d gotten out the door, we were flying as high as a bat outta hell. We couldn’t wait to get something from the bag to eat. As we unlocked the car door we thought which fruit … because something wasn’t going to make it all the way home. We chose one of those very delicious apples. MAN was it sweet. Lifetime of apple growing it took to produce an apple this good … We were in heaven. We’d run there and weren’t going to come back off this cloud. Ever!

Since then, we’ve tried the peanuts and an orange too. Both took an affect upon me as if I’d never tasted quality food before. It was sooooo amazing. We figured we’d eat one of the grapefruit at 10 am. Since it is 8 now … we have a couple of hours. But, shoooo. Life is never going to be the same again. To think this fantastic little store is in my path every day I’m being athletic enough to go to work or gym. Wow. Just can’t believe it. This is why I think people move to big cities because everything unique and interesting is just around the corner. I know there are other fruit and vegetable stores around, and they are probably good too, although, I’m pretty sure the cost was very good at this store. But, we’re thinking that with God as my witness, I will never shop or have shopped for another fruit or vegetable from a major chain grocer again in my life. I’m going to go specialty from this point out. We’ll just take fruits and vegetables off our friends shopping list altogether, unless he’s going to shop at this little Egg store too. I can hardly wait to show him how good this fruit is. We’re going to save the orange for him, or by Monday we’ll have shopped another time with the other $5. We had some thoughts of using the $5 to get one of those gaudier foods served at the fast food emporiums also on this trip, but we were absolutely sure since our friend had lent us money specifically for this cause that we shouldn’t misappropriate. I am sooooo happy with this effort put forth.

Thing is … before the hypnotist we’d marked out this was a place we’d need to check into, but after the hypnotist … we were absolutely sure that we’d do this adventure almost as if our life depended on it. It was just that good. If this is the way the new mindset is going to work, we’re going to need recalibrating the pleasure we feel so that we don’t over orgasmic out on a stalk of celery or artichoke hunt!

AHA! Friendbunny! I know he’d shoot us to include these conversations in post, but we figure someday we’re not going to be here and he should be able to make sure he remembers the kind of stuff we talked about. But, for now … I just like reading over the comments time and again. I love talking to my friend bunny … even though most of it is practical stuff. He is helping to keep me in line. Or, maybe more so get us back into the game proper. *Sigh*

Friendbunny [8:19 A.M.]: good morning
Aynetal3 [8:19 A.M.]: WOOO HOOOO friendbunny!

Aynetal3 [8:21 A.M.]: We've been writing about the trip to the Egg store .. so been flying high!
Aynetal3 [8:21 A.M.]: good to see you getting out!

Friendbunny [8:23 A.M.]: but with fruit stores you must go often, cant buy 2 weeks worth of food
Aynetal3 [8:23 A.M.]: you are absolutely right ... we figure its right on the way to and from work AND gym and we should shop every 2-3 days :)
Friendbunny [8:23 A.M.]: ahh I see, I will start a more regular diet after my trip. I plan on fruits too
Aynetal3 [8:24 A.M.]: nooooooooooooo ... you'll start eating healthy right this instant ... read the pamphlet
Friendbunny [8:24 A.M.]: sounds like a plan. Now you need to read and interpret the pricing
Aynetal3 [8:24 A.M.]: I don't understand all that
Aynetal3 [8:24 A.M.]: hypnotist said nothing of putting off life change toward a convenient time
Aynetal3 [8:24 A.M.]: impress your relatives!
Friendbunny [8:25 A.M.]: I am, but so far I am doing well. I understand I can’t go on forever like this. I will eat more when I am visiting.
Friendbunny [8:25 A.M.]: I am dieting, must have made this post hypnotic suggestions as to the start - seemed to be very committed
Aynetal3 [8:25 A.M.]: this is a lifestyle Friendbunny .. Read the sheet ... you should know the proper quantities of food to put on your plate ... No exceptions
Friendbunny [8:26 A.M.]: I also know that my happiness level is associated strongly with meeting statistical numbers on short term goals.
Aynetal3 [8:27 A.M.]: then no putting off!
Friendbunny [8:27 A.M.]: however, again, I am in a short term project
Aynetal3 [8:27 A.M.]: Friendbunny you and I've done this before ... putting off good health until its convenient ... we BOTH know that doesn't work. Think healthy right this instant and each after
Friendbunny [8:27 A.M.]: Success is getting through 2 night of TV with no snacks.
Friendbunny [8:28 A.M.]: when I get back an orange will go in there
Aynetal3 [8:28 A.M.]: success is your very next thought
Friendbunny [8:28 A.M.]: very profound
Aynetal3 [8:28 A.M.]: *sigh*
Aynetal3 [8:28 A.M.]: think about what you are eating for the next 4 hours
Aynetal3 [8:28 A.M.]: think something healthy going in
Friendbunny [8:28 A.M.]: anyway, what is on your schedule
Friendbunny [8:28 A.M.]: that one is easy
Aynetal3 [8:29 A.M.]: write, gym, and work
Friendbunny [8:29 A.M.]: ahhh, sounds familiar, I myself need tires
Aynetal3 [8:29 A.M.]: ahh
Friendbunny [8:29 A.M.]: also, soap for the washer
Aynetal3 [8:30 A.M.]: get dishwasher soap for me too!??? We’re almost out
Friendbunny [8:30 A.M.]: will skip my moms today
Aynetal3 [8:30 A.M.]: coffee, kitty litter, cat food ;)
Aynetal3 [8:30 A.M.]: WHAT??!!!
Friendbunny [8:30 A.M.]: what your DR appointments look like this week
Aynetal3 [8:30 A.M.]: I have to look hold on
Aynetal3 [8:31 A.M.]: 14. M 11-6-06 10 am Scaling & root planing LL - Dr. Carolyn Bronke Wind, 708-354-1335 507

16. Th 11-9-06 4:30 pm Psychiatry - Dr. Robert Marvin, 312-413-1718 UIC Psych 1rst floor
Aynetal3 [8:31 A.M.]: that's it
Friendbunny [8:32 A.M.]: Well I am going to plan to be at your place Monday about 3. Will bring groceries and cook some meals
Aynetal3 [8:33 A.M.]: did you get essentials ... cat food wet, litter box, and coffee? NOOOOOO fruits and veggie!
Friendbunny [8:33 A.M.]: On Wednesday, if I may, I will stop for a couple of hours after 6.
Aynetal3 [8:33 A.M.]: Cool, cool
Friendbunny [8:33 A.M.]: I will let you get fruit and veggies, I have not shopped yet
Friendbunny [8:34 A.M.]: I will still get veggies for your meals.
Aynetal3 [8:34 A.M.]: I like the idea of shopping for carrots, broccoli and cauliflower individually at new store. In packages it’s overweighed in broccoli
Aynetal3 [8:34 A.M.]: you can get frozen
Friendbunny [8:34 A.M.]: OK, remember, budget food based on spoilage.
Aynetal3 [8:35 A.M.]: I will get 3 grapefruit to get me through Monday, one orange eaten one for you. 3 more servings of peanuts and one apple for a treat!
Friendbunny [8:35 A.M.]: before I forget, you should do the dishwasher today, so I have bowls
Friendbunny [8:35 A.M.]: peanuts fit your diet plan
Friendbunny [8:35 A.M.]: careful also, can be constipating
Aynetal3 [8:35 A.M.]: I agree and would have even without reminder, but need dishwashing detergent
Aynetal3 [8:36 A.M.]: We need nuts because Dr. Allbright told Dr. Marvin in note that I needed to improve the protein in our diet
Friendbunny [8:36 A.M.]: before you start dishwasher, or for next time
Aynetal3 [8:36 A.M.]: next time
Friendbunny [8:36 A.M.]: good, I will try to remember.
Friendbunny [8:36 A.M.]: what’s our money status in the bank
Aynetal3 [8:36 A.M.]: I think walnuts are the best but at the time $2.50 and I hadn't thought I had enough even if I did. Still need nut opener
Aynetal3 [8:37 A.M.]: fraid to look
Friendbunny [8:37 A.M.]: might want to do that, we have to consider, I am ok till the 15th but we need to get back on track.
Aynetal3 [8:37 A.M.]: do I have to?
Friendbunny [8:38 A.M.]: I always say your in good shape if Maslow's needs are met

Friendbunny [8:39 A.M.]: no, this one is your responsibility, goes along with what DR M and you are working on mail
Aynetal3 [8:40 A.M.]: $780 but think check returned ... don’t understand
Friendbunny [8:40 A.M.]: Rent taken out yet
Aynetal3 [8:40 A.M.]: think my SS check and rent taken out, but returned for insufficient funds.
Aynetal3 [8:40 A.M.]: Bank can you open this
Friendbunny [8:42 A.M.]: I have to leave this up to you. Sounds like rent check returned, we will have to contact them Monday, might have to cover you on that one. We will check Monday

Aynetal3 [8:42 A.M.]: :(
Friendbunny [8:42 A.M.]: We will look at on Monday and straighten it out.
Aynetal3 [8:43 A.M.]: only thing we paid for was parking and gas ... auto on car insurance and I guess $90 dentist
Friendbunny [8:44 A.M.]: Monday
Aynetal3 [8:44 A.M.]: k
Aynetal3 [8:44 A.M.]: :(
Aynetal3 [8:44 A.M.]: I know I can't use my card ... but will have to pay parking at Dr. M's on Thurs
Friendbunny [8:44 A.M.]: things will be OK, just need a little work
Friendbunny [8:45 A.M.]: actually you have 780 in bank
Friendbunny [8:45 A.M.]: just need to cover rent.
Aynetal3 [8:45 A.M.]: Should I wait on spending $5 at fruit store?
Friendbunny [8:45 A.M.]: If you have cash go spend it.
Aynetal3 [8:45 A.M.]: I'm $90 short ... but maybe that could be the dentist money I paid out?
Friendbunny [8:45 A.M.]: diet is important
Aynetal3 [8:45 A.M.]: Plus there's little automatic things I get hit with
Friendbunny [8:45 A.M.]: Probably is
Friendbunny [8:46 A.M.]: like what
Aynetal3 [8:46 A.M.]: like AOL or my music stations ... think we got cut down some good ones when you were here. Netflix and our gym
Aynetal3 [8:46 A.M.]: all auto
Aynetal3 [8:47 A.M.]: the thing for 99.95 and 49.95 got refunded to our account
Friendbunny [8:47 A.M.]: sometime add up the little things please so we can add them to the big things and see the balance on a month
Friendbunny [8:47 A.M.]: this helps
Aynetal3 [8:47 A.M.]: wow $150 saved!
Friendbunny [8:47 A.M.]: so far, very good
Aynetal3 [8:47 A.M.]: thank you for helping
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: do a balance sheet and we can go from there
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: later
Aynetal3 [8:48 A.M.]: We'll be good this next 2 weeks just might need fruit or gas money we won't spend on anything else
Aynetal3 [8:48 A.M.]: right now we're on full
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: I know
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: Maslow’s needs covered
Aynetal3 [8:48 A.M.]: we're trying.
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: full, warm, and dry
Friendbunny [8:48 A.M.]: I know
Aynetal3 [8:49 A.M.]: cuz we want maid :)
Friendbunny [8:49 A.M.]: is that a Maslow need? Do the balance sheet
Friendbunny [8:49 A.M.]: only when she was under him
Aynetal3 [8:49 A.M.]: maybe later today. HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friendbunny [8:49 A.M.]: I am going to go get dressed.
Aynetal3 [8:50 A.M.]: naked Friendbunny :) :) :)
Friendbunny [8:50 A.M.]: not quite, but still not suited for the outdoors
Aynetal3 [8:50 A.M.]: what's your day and why no mothers?
Friendbunny [8:51 A.M.]: lot of little things that are becoming mandatory, tires for trip, haircut, laundry, garage - cuz I am losing time to winter, also 1 or 2 work things to make life easier next week.
Friendbunny [8:52 A.M.]: do all that should sleep well too
Aynetal3 [8:52 A.M.]: very good ... which day you leaving and coming back?
Friendbunny [8:53 A.M.]: I am now planning on Thursday, so I can go to ST Louis then to my Aunts, might detour to Atlanta to see customer if they are interested. Back on Monday, worst case Tuesday morning if the drive is too long.
Aynetal3 [8:54 A.M.]: the drives too long ... lets say Thursday to Tuesday
Friendbunny [8:54 A.M.]: feel like my brother, he slept in the Rockies last night
Aynetal3 [8:54 A.M.]: so your missing being sexed at least 2 times that will need to be made up for
Aynetal3 [8:54 A.M.]: nice

Isn’t he about the coolest thing you ever saw? It’s really funny, but I have taken to appreciating these kind of starts, especially on weekend mornings if he isn’t too rushed to get to his first game. We’re going to need jump in the shower pretty soon ourselves, but we want to just write a little longer. After the shower though, we get our grapefruit!

I think I’ve read over the dialogue about 5 times since our friend has gone. The conversation took place now an hour ago. I tend to linger on his words appreciating how comforting they are to us. I think we have a well-established program where each weekend we meet and iron out our goals for the day, or weekend. His big thing this weekend is to prepare for a bit of a holiday/work break. He is seeing a customer out of state on the way to see his Aunt and Uncle out East. He decided to drive, I think more than for any other reason, he will be able to golf with his own clubs hehehehe. That’s our boy!

We’re going to miss him while he’s gone, but we feel good in that we’ll be seeing Dr. M. on Thursday night, the first night our friend is to be gone. This is part of my chore in seeing him go so many places. We have to figure out how we’re going to handle being on our own from the time he leaves until he gets back. This time around it means making sure we have gas money and have paid the rent AND can get out of Dr. M’s parking garage. I don’t think we’ll need any extra money. As you’ve already read … we’re fallin short on the financial scene, but am still planning to get ahead enough to hire the maid. Yes, folks this is what happens when you are down on your luck financially. It appears your fantasies become that much more important. We just need a little more help in being financially responsible. Dr. M. said it was ok if we waiting one more month toward being able to get our mail daily, but that we’d have to work on that goal. We’re closer than we have in 6 years getting the mail, but we have to loose a few more pounds or gain a little more strength to be able to work those extra steps necessary in bringing up mail, AND whatever from work AND in being able to move our coat out of the way so we don’t step on it coming up the stairs. There is a certain frustration level involved that we have to work through. We’re hoping we’ll be in that much better mental shape with some more pounds lost. Maybe we could set a goal that we’ll start getting the mail at 275 pounds. This is soon enough for me and I think a point where the stairs became a little easier. AND, its still safely 20 pounds from here … or maybe about 2 months. Oh, one month planning? Umm, think we were feeling pretty heavy yet at 285 hmm?? Ok, ok … we’ll check back in a month’s time.

We’ll be patient.

Hmm, we’ve had a pretty good administration meeting yesterday. I’d say one of the best so far in this last year. We are usually quiet most the meeting, but when we do talk our input was taken well. Except by our peer. She has a habit of whenever you say something needs to be done, she yammers I was just going to do that. It’s kind of irritating. She’s always very defensive AND LOUD! There are times during the meetings when I feel like cowering in the corner, or at minimum covering my ears with my hand. But, on the good meeting days, I can see Sr. wincing too, so I can at least feel, we are not alone and it is indeed not just me. The really nice thing is that the CARF portion went over very well. We had some additional things to talk about and progress has been made, so that all helped, but the best part is that sister stated to the others we’d been making progress. We did some good work this week, though still not enough.

One major change that has happened is that the matching shelves to my deskset have come in. They were there since Wednesday, but not put up til Friday and at that … the person putting them up was giving us grief. All that needed to happen is to have used a hammer to remove skid block from bottom of shelving unit … he was like don’t have hammer I’ll be back Monday. We probably somewhat consciously planted the damned near most horrifying look we could muster … said Sr. has a hammer in her fixit drawer. His face dropped its happy thing going on stating that I had given him the most horrible face. And, changed the face, but wasn’t looking happy at being put off. CUZ, it’s hard to get this guy back in to do something. SOOOOO, anyway … sister came up with the hammer and the job was FINALLLLLY done. I had to wait 4 weeks for these shelves. HMPF!

They slid into their corner of the room like a glove. Not a half inch too much, or too little. Just RIGHT! I think that was some of the pressure we were feeling when he was going to put us off for three days. We just weren’t sure if it was going to fit and we couldn’t perceive going into an entire 3 days, plus one more to know if it were going to fit. AND, if he was coming back on Monday and it didn’t fit, that would give Sr. another day to get mad at us before we got back on Tuesday. Oh man oh man … I think there is definitely a God. Because that baby fit like a glove. PSHWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

We had half the shelving unit filled before the Administration meeting and the rest filled after we got done, but before lunch. We of course then just wanted to ogle it to pieces, but as it were it was my Friday to do the Thinking Group, especially because the other Q had left for an appointment. It wasn’t a very good group, but we can talk about that later. For now, we’re going to post and get in the shower and eat grapefruit and go to the gym. THEN we’ll be back. AND, I’d like to convince ourselves into getting something accomplished for the CARF project. Yup yup … We’ve had 1.5 of our weekend our way … should do something there to make us feel REALLY good. At least we’re going to try, k? Shoot, shoot … Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears today at noon. I think we’re going to miss the first half the game, but hopefully, will be in for the second half. Ok, ok … we’re going with that …  Be good!
