Umm this is during the good stuff. Maybe before the last video

Good morning. Just me. It’s pretty much getting on with the morning now. We were talking to V. then suddenly he just stopped talking. That was like 8 min ago. Ahh we asked him directly … he’d wandered off to read paper … I think I’d insulted his intelligence cuz our last comment was that October 6th Soap Opera Day. I guess he was getting tired … He laid down. The comment on Soap Opera Day was in jest. *Sigh*

Missy has just come up to lay down and we started a fresh pot of coffee. Now our arms are full of kitty, but we’ll get to that too. Our chief interest at this point still remains health and fitness. Though we’re at a break point with it. This morning’s weight was only 300.2 … That was a little disappointing, but we can be ok with it … Like to think its because muscle is heavier than fat … and well, you know … it’s been TWO days at the gym! Hehehe Teasing V, teasing!

Oh oh 5 am. Should be doing the shower thing even on weekends and taking the medicine early. Best to get in a routine … at least we should try. BRB…

Ahh, much better … 20 minutes later and we’re good to go … cept we don’t have on our shoes or socks yet. That will have to wait a few cuz the back’s hurting. We can do that. Heheheh this morning we’re making a fashion statement because our outer shorts are purple and our top is cranberry. I can’t decide if that’s cool or definitely clashing, but we’re going for the gold! Well maybe we’ll switch to the gray shorts in a bit ;)

We’re in a pretty good mood now. I think with V. we’re like into the phase where we’ll talk until he frustrates me to pieces, then we take a break to get ok again, and then we’ll go back at it. I figure you have to be really good friends to cause this many upsets. Well, ok … we’re admitting to that we have a crabby problem. You want to make something out of it??

Didn’t think so.

*Sigh* Missy trying to settle in before we knock her off the table for interfering with our lifestyle … which is hair washed, hair brushed, now for pete’s sake just leave it alone! Quit bumpin me! Sheeesh For a little lady, she sure got her way…

Ok, we’re not going to be crabby, we’re not. Did everyone realize we are a “Cancer” See. Been a crabby person for a long long time. Hmm, Missy doesn’t seem to really mind … she’s already sound a sleep and snoring. Beside the extra weight … and don’t tell anybody this, but I sort of like it when she drapes herself head over one forearm, tail over the other. Makes me feel like I’m doing my part in this relationship. J

But, she has a little claw that is scratching … there we fixed that. It amazes me how they lift there head to say what? Ho? Geez! Then go right on with the sleeping part. They’re vigor for life, will never cease to amaze me. They are irrepressible. Before we showered, we squished our face into her soft dark fur and breathed in the warm air letting it fog up our glasses. She didn’t mind a bit! Good kitty.

Ok, ok … we can leave Ms. Kitty alone.

So, everything is Rosey, what next? I think you probably know everything about everything from yesterday and this morning. Whoops she did it again … she makes us cat nap with her and we get so darn woozy with it. HMPF!

Ok, we’re up we’re up. Better get them shoes on before we get too cold.

Just played Dr. M’s video. Very nice … We were thinking of him in a nice way … but still working through the issue in our mind where he has a lover. Thinking how much we think of Dr. M. needing to be protected. Somehow I think we think that his “goodness” shouldn’t be put against all the bad stuff in the world. I mean I know he is strong enough so like he could counsel a rapist or a murderer, but we can’t imagine him being confronted by one in a dark hall. He’s more precious than all that. He needs to have a partner who is a sumu wrestler … well, at least a construction engineer, k? That be ok. Someone with a lot of muscles, because Dr. M. isn’t really physically challenging as far as size goes. Maybe though this is connected to being almost twice his weight. We figure him to be 170 top 175. Yep, or maybe he could be with a bar bouncer. Not much cultural expectation there, but let’s say it is a really uptown fashionable night club! I can see him going there. Not sure if we’re willing to let our mind imagine that Dr. M. could get drunk. I’m pretty sure he has, but I don’t think he would see too much sense in it, right?

Whoops swooped of to another Miss Missy nap. I’m just to gosh darn comfortable .. must be those new training under garments ;)

Ok seriously, we better figure out a direction. It’s about 6:30 am. Missy be nappin and a nappin. Breakfast was way back in V’s time. Ohhh one thing … I gotta tell you. Do you know what?? Sweetie Pie called just for 2-3 minutes last night and guess what?! Yup, yup … he’s in First place! The poor guy that had been in first place took dead last yesterday … WoooHOOOO … I mean that’s really to bad for him. J Our Sweetie Pie is like almost afraid to breath I think. He’s even in front of his best friend who fishes with him and invited him into the club. Umm, might be creating a little tenseness. He’s just got to get through today now. I think then he becomes the champion, but like there is a championship weekend, but I’m not sure if you become champion of just that weekend or if its part of sweeping the year long title. It’s really really a good thing though, because its very hard to be the champion being a back seater. I do think though that it’s good in that if a guy likes fishing enough to have a boat … like his various partners, then he’s with someone good all the time. Helps having a good partner. I think my fishyman is a good partner too in that he has good guy manners. He knows how to be a guy’s guy with the best of them, but he’s not rude or repulsive. Word is out though that he might do some swearing when he’s with the guys. I’m not real sure about that yet. *Sigh* so much to figure out.

ANYWAY. CONGRATS FISH MAN!!!! One more day!

Well not for long.

Let’s see what else. Hmm, we haven’t thought too much about self-regulation. Maybe we should do some more of that. Got about 4 more hours until we get to the gym. Let’s see last time we left off on after reading about page 5. That’s not so much headway, but we went deeper into the subject. Hmmm. Do you know it is still dark out there?? I guess we’re not going to be doing any immediate reading outside. Perspective is all different when you are in the shower by 5 am. I’d have to move a certain kitty to read … that wouldn’t be such a good idea. I really would like to read Zimmerman’s book before going back into all the articles we pulled from the library. Ok, ok … kitty moved. We might want to get the old outline out too. Now where did I put that?

AHA! Found! Doing good. Now what’s next. Maybe we should get a video going … It’s already 7 am and nothing down for the day, Hmm…

Goal Setting #1: We will be at the gym by about 11 and we will work-out for 45 minutes

Strategic Planning: Maintain awareness of constructive use of time, structure time to include gym preparedness (shower, dress, eat, water, etc.), and maintain positivism.

Self-efficacy beliefs: We feel very positive that we can do this now, but am working more on we can continue doing this into the future as well. We want to maintain this model throughout time. Minimize the fear factor in falling short of goals. Think about today only.

Goal Orientation: Learning progress includes being in a good work space early in the morning. Watch for orientation toward reading the self-regulation book outside with coffee. Remember to ask the trainer to record seize on charts for later tangible rewards.

Intrinsic interest – Continue to plan toward new scheduling whether or not, the differences show on the scale.

Attention focusing – Protect other competing interests like slipping back into a nap schedule. Maintain body warmth, so it does not overtake us.

Self-instruction – Finish typing out the structure, and then take book outside to read, setting time for hour blocks of time. Good. Refreshed timer with new battery and set 29 minutes to allow 5 minute break prior to the hour. At that time refresh coffee and take book outdoors. Set timer for another hour (8-9 am).

Self-monitoring – So far so good. We feel attuned to the day progressing as we would wish it to be. Our original goal is saying that on Saturdays, we can spend more time with learning fitness or work, and on Sunday, we can do more with self-regulation or work, and on Monday’s we need to work/work.
We’re not up to the part of self-reflection that will have to be done after we get back from the gym.

Ok, we’re good for another 25 minutes of writing. We had an interesting thought yesterday while talking to Deb. We made a comment that working at the gym was a matter of pain management. We might have to think that thought through a bit. Mainly because it wouldn’t be a good idea to focus on pain. And, to some degree we will need to learn to work through it as if it isn’t the enemy. It might eventually hurt to lift those weights from shoulder upwards, or do the machine where we have to lift our back in a motion like doing straight-backed sit-ups. I think that’s the one he considered an ab-workout. Remember too … we need to ask about those couple of machines we’ve forgotten how to use.

Might as well practice now … we’re going outside for the next 20 minutes or so. We’re going to leave some music on here for a short while to keep you company. We’ll be right back. J

Self-evaluation - Ok, done with SR hour #1 remembered to get coffee and stop in washroom at 5 minute marker. Feeling very fine, happy, and involved with the reading, eager to go back.

Attributes – credit the day to being gorgeous, we love the fall, but am proud of ourselves for the learning efforts

Self-reaction – positive. I know it is me creating the experience, but am happy with our environment. The system of giving 5 minutes to the hour feels right.

Adaptive practice style – If I need 7 minutes in washroom won’t get bent out of shape!
