B-DAY SURPRISES!!!
Good morning. It’s me Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me, Happy BIIIIIIIIrthday to Me, Happy birthday to me! Hehhehe ok V. NOW you can say happy birthday! You’ve been cheatin time all week! It was hard with all the surprises NOT to think of my b-day. Thank you sooo much! We’re a little tired this morning, but for the most part just feeling my oats about having a special day. I’m thinking that I should go to the store to get some special goodie, but having sweets around so many diabetics isn’t the best logic. Plus my tummy isn’t feeling real happy with that melted cheese tortilla I just sent down. Think it might quit me to take in some other luxury.
Ok, so you can see where my mind is at this morning. *Sigh* Happy Birth… Oh, we been there. Rich says that we’ll have to be downtown at the Omnimax on Navy Pier at 3 pm to see Batman special viewing. I’m really more terrified of this as a birthday present than not. I know it’s a big deal to be able to see it, but it’s giving me goose bumps. I’ve been looking at pictures this morning and trying to get used to it.
It’s hard.
I think we need to think of something else this morning … because we’re feeling an old sense of panick.
It’s about 5:40 am now. Rich has left a half an hour ago. We took our shower early while he was still here so he could have some time on the Internet checking his mail. His regular Internet service is down. Then he stayed and held hands and smooched me up a bit before he left. He said he wanted to make sure the day was special for me.
I wish I could think of something to share with the clients that wouldn’t be too much. Something that wasn’t sugary, but they’d still like. I’ve done that in the past with them – brought in something to share on my birthday. I should have thought of it last night when I could have still gotten to a dollar store.
Hmm, we’re looking at Peapod and checking out the school supplies. I’m thinking a pen and maybe some notecards … and it be nice to get some erasers too. They always wear out their pencils. Or maybe the spiral notebooks and pens … I was thinking maybe I could go over to Walgreens earlier. Hmm, maybe I should be getting dressed and checking it out … thinking now the spiral and pen, or a thin 2 pocket folder with loose leaf and pen … we’ll have to see. $.49 for pocket folder … they have 10 Paper mate ball point pens assorted colors 2/$3.00, Hmm, paper $2.79 for 325 sheets … that be about enough for 4 people $2.80 .70 cents per person … that wouldn’t be bad …
Total cost would be .50 + .15 + .70 = $1.35 x 45 = about $60.00 … that would seem pretty reasonable. I would then ask group 1 to help me put it together this morning. Could I carry that much? I’d need to get 45 folders, 5 packs of pens, and 12 stacks of paper. Might need to get one or two of the guys to get it for me from the car. I think this is doable … and would make a nice surprise. Ok, better get dressed so I can go in early. Need some time to shop and get it into the workshop before Sr. goes. I think I can, I think I can…
